The reason Minx wasn't successful is because the concept that Minx had in 2014 to 2016 wasn't appropriate for the girls and there were many Kpop groups that had a very similar bubblegum pop sound and Kpop at the time was over saturated with it. Compared to Dreamcatcher, the concept is unique, it meshes Metal and Hard Rock instrumentals with Bubblegum Pop synth elements, which is why Dreamcatcher isn't your typical girl group, which played heavily to their successes. Dreamcatcher became larger not only in sound, but also in size, by adding a foreign member in Handong (Chinese) and a true maknae in Gahyeon (Despite, being the maknae, Dami, was too mature for that role and by the looks of it, didn't really enjoy being the maknae). Minx felt incomplete, however, now as Dreamcatcher feels complete. Now-a-days, the former member of Minx who happens to be the core members of Dreamcatcher, are trying their best to distance themselves from their past. It's pretty much evident whenever Minx singles are played or mentioned through dance or sung by anybody else, but them.
