I have made a few shorts in DaVinci and I always feel that as usual there has not been too much thought because it would be great if when it creates the vertical window it gave you the option of being able to see what is being blanked out at each side. Maybe it could be at say 25% so the vertical window stood out. The reason this would be so useful is you can then easily choose how to reframe and sometimes I have done movements so I would be able to easily choose the in and out points. Also the captioning is bad enough for normal use (the window for altering words would be much more use if you could move it to where you want on the screen rather than it being fixed in the righthand top) but when it comes to shorts it needs to have the ability to do captioning like other programmes for shorts do. What it needs is some presets.

This has honestly helped me so much as I recorded my podcast in portrait and thought there was no way to edit it vertically! Thank you so much
