The C42 video should be used on crosswind tranning, very nice landing on the Diamond.

The C42 has indeed a very direct steering and you can use it as a perfect trainer. In Europe it is used a lot! But not in the U.S., correct?

That ole boy in the last high wing sport plane put on a clinic. Touch down on one wheel with the wing into the wind. Beautiful job, beautiful!!

The DA40 was a good landing. Slightly flat but pretty good overall

Due to windconditions all landings are good, specially the DA40 is pretty smooth... Thank you for your comment. 🤗

Skip to the last one. The rest aren’t crosswinders. If you are gonna fly in the midwest or Alaska you gotta be comfortable getting a wing way way down and using BIG rudder deflection or you are gonna be blown right off the runway. And no flaps- you will need all the tail authority you can get and that means you want higher stall speed. Forget this video and get a real instructor to take you up when xwind is near demonstrated xwind published for plane. Then when you start flying in real xwinds you will know your limits. You will know if you just have to land on an upwind taxiway or even ACROSS the runway or give it up and fly to another field. OH! And dont think you can taxi around on real windy days…..you may need wing walkers or have to fly it on ground while pointed into the wind. And park nosed into the lee of a hangar.

Cherokee... the thing won't ever land if you don't slow it down.

Correct, in Switzerland we say: You have to land a p28a as a tractor, not as a sportscar....

Correct me if i'm wrong, but when you put the wheels on the ground, you should be cutting throttle and retracting flaps Immediately to glue yourself down. Then continue ailerons into the wind and rudder authority all the way back to the tie down!
