    Sir in the last example florine also has spin 1/2 then how can it be used as solvent

    • @egpat
      @egpat  3 года назад +2

      Since fluorine has more chemical shift range up to 400 ppm it can be used in the study of protons which show chemical shift less than 10 ppm where fluorine is not going to interfere with study.

    sir why cannot we directly place our sample in nmr?why solvent is needed?please reply

    • @egpat
      @egpat  4 года назад +3

      Two reasons we use solvent in NMR. First to prepare clear and low viscous solution. Second, to lock the magnetic field with deuterium signal. Without solvent, the magnetic field is not study and highly drifted.

    hello :) Thank you so much for this great explenation. I have one question.... I know that Deuterium is NMR active, but it does not give a NMR Signal ? whats the differenz between " beeing active " and " not giving a signal ? "
