That actually happened to a dude once. He fell in to a deeper area of the track where the secondary shark and electronics were stored. The sharks track was where he fell in and so it “swam” towards him. He also had kids so they thought that the shark was gonna eat him

I went on this ride back in 1977 in 4th grade. I was so scared until Jaws came up out of the water and you could see all the machinery inside his mouth. Even though that took the scare right out of me, it was so disappointing.🤷🏻♀️
The good ol’ days of animatronics. Always remember the explosion that was about 100 feet away and the heat was so intense. That was a cool ride, so was “Earthquake”.. Now everything is a 3D movie while being swung around on a hydraulic chair contraption.
Damn ikr, I also loved the dedicated acting from the workers. I think my family and I went on the Jaws ride two times. I loved the last guy, he was funny and really into his role. I hope he's doing well nowadays.

Im not expert in animatronics but i think the robot shark only moves on rails and its mostly operated with pressure air pistons that are automatically controlled from the surface. Only electric parts are the sensors that trigger the shark when a boat moves close to it and when it reaches its destination then just gives signal to stop the shark and move back to starting point. Nowadays sensors, electric motors and cables are capable of being underwater. If you put cable whose wires are exposed then the electricity can shock in the water same goes with heaters like toaster or hair dryer because in those machines the heater resistors arent covered in plastic or other non leading material because the cover would just melt off
