I never adopted Apple Card for many of the reasons you mentioned. The benefits just aren’t attractive relative to alternatives (especially if you’re savvy and can maximize the value of said alternatives). Ultimately, I think Apple’s banking offerings are decent enough for people who just want an easily accessible solution from a trusted brand, but aren’t interested in squeezing every half-penny out of their purchases. That’s okay too, just not for me.
I hear ya! At the peak of my points game, I was rocking a Sapphire Reserve with a Rose Gold AMEX, and Prime for all orders. That trifecta worked good for me back in 2019. Covid changed a lot, obviously, and now, I’m just using cash back cards. I try not to use anything that is less than 3% no matter what. 2% is the barrier to entry. And the Apple Card does only 1% if you manually swipe or insert the chip. So I don’t like it. I never did, but I was always optimistic that SOMETHING would have grown from this…silly me lol
@@RandyNexusSomething tells me they went into the project with greater ambitions, but it just never materialized. You were reasonable to give it a try! PS-I’ve always enjoyed your content and am looking forward to more Nexus after your break. Happy holidays!
I agree, and maybe something will come from this after one of these other financial institutions picks it up. Time Will tell. And thank you! 🙇🏻♂️ it’s been a fun year, but I’m looking forward to the bigger grind next year too! Thanks for sticking around!
I’ve wanted an Apple Card now for a while, but have never gotten approved, which is odd considering a high credit score. However, now it’s not of much interest to me until someone takes over. I’ll keep using my AMEX for now
I'm still using my Card. Don't use the savings account feature, but I'm really loving my titanium card for Walmart runs. Why does Walmart STILL not accept Pay?
Because they want to get the perks on their own. They use Walmart+ for their payment system so they save money and get all benefits from the customers. It sucks, they’re not willing to make it easier on us
Keep up the good work, Randy.
Thanks Jeff!! 🙇🏻♂️

You’re better off this way for now! Which AMEX are you using?
@ currently using the AMEX Gold card!
That’s a powerful card! Good choice!
I'm worried I'm a bit late to ask this, but are there still CDs in supply?
Absolutely! We have a few left! Use my main linktree on my personal account(s) and follow the prompts
