Great perspective on the highs and lows of parenting. I try not to speak negatively of my children in their presence or absence, I feel like gossiping is frowned upon unless you’re talking about children and that doesn’t make sense to me. They have even more reason to be protected and given the benefit of the doubt, so having a positive attitude, especially when sharing your children with strangers, is the most respectful thing you can do for them for sure.
Thanks for being so candid! I took my twins for their 5th birthday (been doing it alone since they were 2..they are 21 now) and mid week I remember being at Epcot and asking my daughter if she could do anything right! Yeah, not a proud mama moment! That night I indulged in a food court brownie sundae after they went to sleep that was half ice cream and half tears. The morning after my good cry we set out all regrouped and had an amazing rest of our trip. Thankfully the kids have some memories from the trip (probably more because of the pics than anything) but me losing my cool is not one of them! I learned a big lesson that day, one I am glad I learned while they were still as young as they were! Human nature tends to make us add all of the negatives together when we think about a day, if we actively try to switch that up and add the positives while letting the negatives stand alone it is amazing how much different it can make us feel at the end of a day!!
Momma of 3year old twin boys here…potty emergencies during meals and snacks and any time we sit down for even a second! Even if we just went 🤦🏻♀️the STRUGGLE!! Love your content, Bekah! And love these honest takes!!
I vividly remember two of my kids sitting in timeout while in line for Soarin 🙈 parenting at Disney is way more fun and way better, but still hard. You’re doing such a great job 💕
I appreciate your honesty we just canceled a trip with toddlers for the exact reasons you were honest about in this video. We love dieney and go ever six ish months or so but we were not feeling a summer trip summer is Disney is rough and alone being alone and heat you did a great job
I love your vlogs!!! Hopefully I can take my little one for a trip solo. Heading you talk about moming 4 days in a row was a breath of fresh air! It’s hard sometimes with no break
Such an interesting point of view. I usually travel solo and it’s a schlep. I did, however, do Disney with two three-year olds in 2013, but they weren’t mine. Doing it alone with a toddler, you have my respect, Bekah! I enjoy your videos! I’m off to WDW in ten days with those same twins, who are now delightful 13-year olds. Can’t wait!
Great job mama! I have the stomach flu and my husband is on travel, so solo parenting now and I feel very short tempered with my daughter right now, we all have our moments. We are doing more park days our next trip so that way if they end up being half days we don't feel like we missed out on things we really wanted to do and can still let our daughter lead.
Thank you! And ahh I hope you get better soon ❤️ Solo partnering is hard work. And yes, half park days in the summer seem to be the way to go, especially when you’re on your own 🙌🏼
I love your transparency and honesty🙌🏽mine just turned 2 so we’re definitely in the tantrum era and taking her in October, and you help me have realistic expectations of how it will go when we’re there🫠
Loved this Vlog!! Love their authenticity of this vlog!! I also have a toddler the same age as Ellie, and I feel ya lol!! Us moms are rocking it though!! So glad yall had a good mommy and daughter trip!!
So so good to see you guys again! Thanks for sharing that every trip isn’t always magical because even as someone who lives in Orlando, it’s true for even us!
We were there end of June early July and I agree with you it was extraordinarily hotter than previous years. We will never go back when it’s that hot it’s just too much. We couldn’t even talk to each other in that heat! Also something about day 4 on a family vacation can be a rough one!😂
@@BekahHart Our first visit to WDW was in the summer time - - that was also the last summer time visit 😆. Fall and Spring weather work better for everyone 🌞
It's JUly in florida and its super hot.. it was probably getting the best of you.. Ellie looks like she's having soooo much fun this trip.. but she does look overheated .. You guys go so often maybe just skip going July and August.
love your videos! could you make a video talking about weather and crowds through the year, mostly about the weather I see you were struggling with the heat, dont know if october and november are better
Hey!! Maybe bring a container or something from home that you could throw ice cream or snack Or anything in your cooler for potty breaks. We are in the exact same stage and doing anything solo it’s so stressful. Just a season mama!
Yes! I always have ziplock bags for this very scenario and a mini container for fruit, but I didn’t think to bring a container that would accommodate soft serve ice cream 😂 Lesson learned LOL.
Going in December 2023 and my son will be 2 years and 8 months then. Any tips on balancing stroller & walking with toddler (or when Ellie was similar age)? He is a VERY ACTIVE, VERY ENERGETIC boy and sometimes it's hard to keep him by our side (he is 2 years 4 months now) and if we let him out of stroller its a struggle to get back in without that bribe you talked about! I feel like its that awkward stage where he can talk but not everything can be understood. I know toddler girls and toddler boys are quite different at this stage but just looking for any advice! Great job on balancing the solo trip...you are a strong Mama for doing it!
“You may think that, Wow, it’s such a breeze taking a toddler to Disney.” No, none of us were thinking this 😂😂😂😂 -mom of three Littles here. We go annually. it’s getting easier as the years go on but I think the easy days are a long way off yet.
You’d be surprised at how many mamas have reached out telling me I make it look like rainbows and sunshine, so I wanted to share the reality of taking a toddler to Disney that isn’t shown in a lot of my videos ❤️
When my oldest daughter was three and four years old she would do the same thing…as soon as the food was served she would have to go use the bathroom 😅 She’s 21 now❤️
You could tell Ellie was overheated. Her little cheeks were so red. It is difficult when it's so hot. I won't go in June, July, or August due to heat. Take care😊
Thank you! Many people on here like Tim Tracker always just portray this unrealistic perfect world with kids and never talk about how it really is.
lol! I love this comment. Yeah wish they’d show reality without a nanny.
I think it’s great that you have boundaries with what you show. Privacy for little ones are important too 😊

I loveeeeeee the honesty. I’m a single mom and it’s SO hard. I love you I love your channel and you’re my favorite
also it’s so refreshing to see honest motherhood, feel you on the thin patience with days alone with a little one
Yes 👏🏼❤️ The patience aspect is a tough one to share about 🥲

100% agree the midday nap at hotel is needed by us just as much for them. You do a great job momming!

I’m a teenager! Me and my mom still go to the baby care center to use the restroom and cool off I think it’s really nice! :)

Agreed. Toddlers are still toddlers on vacation 🤪 As sweet as it is!

Bekak Hart your daughter really loves Disney doesn't she ?
And she really loves the Disney characters ?
This probably makes me a gross person buuut I have a toddler and I would take the ice cream to the bathroom hahaha
When my oldest daughter was three and four years old she would do the same thing…as soon as the food was served she would have to go use the bathroom 😅 She’s 21 now❤️

We were both so overheated 🥹 Which is why we left the park earlier than usual. Summer is brutal! No more July trips for us 😅
It s 100000 times harder being a full time working mom who is not in Disney world ... if that makes you feel any better lol
Being a mom is any capacity has its challenges - whether you are traveling, working, or at home.
