Verzenio is for two years. I’ve never heard of a clinical case involving a patient with ER+/HER2- sub type of breast cancer that requires this drug for life. However, aromatose inhibitors are a different story. Also, some include ovarian supression injections to provide a triple therapeutic plan. I pray they find an cure and put this disease to an end!
hi dr amy, my mom has been watching ur videos religiously since she got cancer in 2022. unfortunately the medical field here in the philippines has failed her both in practice and in attitude. she left us this july 4. as her daughter i just want to thank you for having given us the instructions up til then. thank you.
My doctor prescribed this for me. I finished Chemo 4 weeks ago. I heard it’s very expensive! I haven’t gotten it yet, I’ll wait for 6 weeks while I’m getting radiation.
Been on it for 4. 1/2 years. Ned The good the bad the ugly but I’m here and I’m NED. You will experience low WBC and Low Neutrophils. Your hair will thin. You will be dizzy and fatigued but with supplementation and healthy diet to raise blood levels will help. You should exercise or walk more for energy and strength. Drink tart cherry juice and take Curcumin
Thank you thank you for this video! It’s been so hard to find anything about Verzenio! I was diagnosed with Stage 1 ER PR Her2 negative breast cancer in April of 2023. After my lumpectomy in May last year, they discovered cancer, not in the sentinel node, but rather, an outlier. I decided to only do radiation, as my Oncotype score was only 12. I did a hysterectomy in December and started Anastrozole and Verzenio on Jan. 15th. We did a slow ramp up to the 150 mg twice a day, and did our best to manage the diarrhea, but it became too much and my oncologist lowered the dose to 100 mg and I started that on June 24th. So far, the diarrhea is better. Please do more videos if you come across anything else that might be helpful! 💕💕💕
I’m taking this, 2X150. Apart from the fatigue and some diarrhea I’m fine. 💝 Thank you so much for the information. I’m on giredestrant which is not out yet and is a SERD, so very few side effects. Can’t eat sugar with it though, hot flashes start.
My oncologist wants to put me on this but I can't afford it. My co-pay is over $3,000 and I am over the income limit for financial aid. Upon hearing your video, I'm not sure that I want to add this drug.
I've been taking it for my stage 4 BC. Instead of taking the three meds for side effects, I took Carbo Chamomilla and I never dealt with diarrhea. I definitely have the cognitive issues and take bitters for my liver. It also lowers the white blood cell count.
I only take Verzenio for 3 months the cost is unbelievable $ 17 k for one month supply I am doing ok but have to go to the bathroom often - the pill to stop that will give me constipation!
Lopremide or Imodiem take 2pills with first episode of diarrhea and 1 pill with each additional episode if that's what it says to do on the label. You can ask your doctor how to take it. Hope this helps. @@cookiesims2194
I was on Verzenio and experienced severe constipation as well. Taking a month break right now. My oncologist is looking into switching me to Kisqali but with that one I will be forced to go into early menopause. So indecisive right now about how I want to move forward.

Thank you, Dr Amy. You are doing an amazing work. Please can you do a video on the benefit of Xeloda for triple-negative breast cancer

new to you content but just wondering if you have thought to apply to the youtube health feature?
I’m Canadian so I don’t believe it applies. Could look into it again though
