About 20 years ago, Rotting Christ played a live concert in my hometown, and a local band of some very good friends were supporting them, so I got to talk to them and Sakis in particular. I was extremely impressed by his humility and the respect with which we talked to us, 16-17 year-olds at the time.

I am greek and a Christian but what sakis said about the church back in those days is absolutely real. All thinking rockers could see that and believing or not they kept their distance from the church. For most of us orthodoxy and the church are different things .After all metal speaks in the soul and Christ does this as well. Love and respect for you and Tolis.

I do not talk about the temples of god where I go with my family when we want .I am 45 ,married and have experienced situations throughout my life that let me have this opinion. I saw Rotting Christ live on 14/9/2019. My first Metal concert. When I got there the opening act wasn't over yet and Sakis with his brother Themis were outside chilling with some fans. I went there to talk to him and he was like we were best friends for years. I told him that we have similar backgrounds (actually my dad is from Athens as well) and he was like "That's awesome man, our fans are the best. Enjoy the show my fellow Athenian". His music might scare people who don't listen to Metal Music, but he's an awesome human being. My mother was skeptical about the band and after watching some interviews she told me "Yeah, play his music all you want, he's nice" 😂
It's kind of ironic, but God bless you Sakis and the whole band. I hope I get to see you again live 🤘
Also this interview is way better than many interviews Sakis has done in Greece. The interviewer let's him finish his points, he's not rude and he helps him organize his thoughts well. Good Job ❤️🤘

Rotting Christ one of the most important bands in my life I know them since middle 90s, Khronos is a masterpiece.

Sakis just go all out and release a 30 song double-album! Every one of the recent albums has been better than the last so I can't even imagine how awesome the next RC record will be.
I am always intrigued to listen to Sakis in an interview. This one in particular was pretty special for me learning about how he was during his childhood and how chose to pick up the guitar. I really appreciate this band so much and I will continue to support them. NON SERVIAM 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Rotting Christ and Septic flesh are 2 of the most underrecognized bands in their respective genres, most likely because Greek metal scene never did a major breakthrough worldwide, like Scandinavian countries did. However, and irrespective of the fact that I am greek and I grew up with their music, objectively they are top tier bands and reinvent themselves with every album. Plus, I have met Rotting Christ in person as my band opened for them in 2 occasions and they are super cool. Down to earth, always surrounded and available to their fans, and whether they paly for 10 or 25000 people they give it their all. Long live the archons!

Good job Pedro. A really nice interview. Both sakis and themis are incredible guys. The ideal company to chill out with a beer in your hand. And despite the fact that they are the number 1 exportable greek band they are really grounded and friendly.
I love the new Solo Stuff. I didn't start listening to his band Rotting Christ till about 2014 perhaps. I love this stuff. The internet itself has opened up so much music I would never hear in USA. TY So much Sakis and A&P for this great interview. Best of Luck, Tolis Rules!

Damn how did I miss this? Oh yeah, just subscribed 6 months ago. Cool interview, well done. Just came across Sakis and Rotting Christ about a year ago, and becoming a big fan even if maybe they could have picked a better band name. But that's just me.
The last time I saw RC on stage, it was in Leipzig in December 2019, Co-headlining with Moonspell. It was one of the last concerts of the tour, in which they played almost 50 concerts in seven weeks, each day a concert, more or less. And still, after all of these shows those guys played with 120% power and no sign of weariness. My point: You listen to Sakis talking about dedication, effort and spirit, and you can feel all of this, when they are on stage. Most incredible band I've ever witnessed live...

When Sakis talked about Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, man, one of the most importants records of the 70-ths. I was 7 years old and one of my first vinyls bought. Wore it out whithin two years. Now at 55 I discovered RC, what an amazing band! Thanks from Sweden, keep up the good work!
