I did 10,000 mile in 18 months age 17 on a later faired version, mega reliable started 2nd kick every time even though winter. I never had a single problem, only sold it as went travelling in 99. Closest I could get to Cagiva MiTo, still want an aprilla rs250.
Lush to see. I had 2 of these believe it or not(both with fairing) one brand knew in 89.Fast n smooth and top speed was around 90 but tweek the valve and it said 110 on the clock. Lovely piece of kit.

I own a 1995 DT200R 3ET, a 1987 DT200L, and I just built a Yamaha Blaster with a ported DT200 37f motor with a tzr125 2rh cdi, its a beast, I have the ypvs functioning as well on all of them, I live in Canada, we never had the 125 DT, or tzr, or rd

Doesn't sound like working electronic powervalve on the motor. That hesitance to rev, is indication that the valve is jammed open. YPVS closes at low revs and opens above 5k via the servo
nothing like the smell and sound of a 2 stroke in the morning, god i miss my old RD350 LC
