Bought this game about a year ago but quit playing cos I couldn’t find any good tutorials on mechanics etc idk how I never found this channel it’s helped me so much in the last few days, I can actually go online now lmao
If we keep believing in Sensei Yama’s wisdom, there’s a chance that Storm 4 might get fixed in the near future. This is unconfirmed, but most likely true
The thing is.When u got no subs your opponent usually wants to destroy you so they tend to play more aggressive and careless thus giving more openings . Its not like u are hopeless when u have no subs. Its a double edge sword basically which is one of its side is just slightly bigger lol
Now the real question is how do we play against people who play defensively? I mostly struggle with people who are very cautios in their playstyle and sit back, blocking and waiting for me to come at them. My playstyle is applying as much pressure as possible, but it mostly works with people who also play offensively. The good defensive players will find the slightest mistake in my pressure and capatilize on it. Half the time I'm just sat there thinking: "Well, what else was I supposed to do? He wasn't doing anything, and I like to be aggressive, so I have no other choice than to attack him."
Hmm what mistakes are you making in your offense? Also, I do have a video about aggression and defensive play to use against opponents, if that doesn't help then maybe I can fix your issue in a future guide on offensive play
@@PoisonedOkami I'll definately look at the videos. I'd say the mistakes I make is struggling to adapt to their counter (not as in the counter with block, but they're reaction to my push). Let's say I chakra dash at the enemy, but they block it. What I would usually do is jump and throw shuriken to stun them long enough for me to start a combo or to keep their block up, but sometimes it doesn't work and they also throw shuriken. I have no choice but to let them combo or sub out of it, but then they'll just chakra dash at me, which I will block and then we're back to square one. Then I would try to change it up a bit and maybe jutsu instead of jump + shuriken, but then they react to that and sub + chakra dash and then I got nowhere, except I made them waste a sub, which is a decent trade off, but not really ideal. It just seems like they can react to anything I do, because I have to be the initiator of the fight. I'm the one who comes to them, because that's my playstyle, and I think they play defensively because they know exactly how to handle any form of pressure. I'm far better at fighting aggressive players, because I feel like they're easier to predict. I think the defensive player is hard to read, as in predict how they'll react.

hey poison, haven't watched the vid yet, but I was wondering if you can make a guide on how to tilt out of combos. I can tilt out of combos but not very consistently. i can't really seem to understand the proper timing. I try to do it between the characters combo gaps and I'll do it but like i said not consistently. Should i just be flicking the left stick rapidly and pressing circle?
Basically, tilting out of combos is character dependent on your character and the opponent's character. I can make a video explaining this and how you should deal with it in the future. Please bear with me :)

1:54 Bro you just say "Switch Tech" like we already know what it is, how to do it, and when to do it. I am trying to get into the online aspect of this game. But it's cancer so far. I don't know what is wrong with the anime fighting game players. But every single player I have come across is toxic af and usually on the mic. No one else seems to be playing the game on LAN like myself either. As I can EASILY tell these guys are all on Wifi. So you've got a lot of laggy matches and toxic players on top of that. Especially when compared to other fighting game guides. I have played games like Tekken, Street Fighter, MVC, Dead Or Alive, King Of Fighters, and so much more on higher levels. So I've got A LOT of experience when trying to pick up a new game. But these Storm players release guides in the same capacity as someone releasing a Tekken character guide without any frame data. If you don't go in and somehow get touched. The moment you try and substitute. Results in nothing but a turn loss and waste of meter. Because for some reason you aren't guaranteed a turn if you use a meter burn evasive. Not a single guide I've seen. Actually goes into detail about what to do depending what situation you are while getting combo'd. Or what options are actually safe.

i think that if u want to open up a defensive players you need to become unpredictable so that they'll end up doing a mistake and you can capitalize on it, you can Chakra dash guard (you stop your dash) to make them guard jump or counter, then you can follow up with either jutsu switch, dash switch to catch them off guard
inputs dash stop=chakra dash, guard
inputs dash switch=chakra,switch, jump
inputs jutsu switch=chakra,switch, b button
If your enemy is a static defensive player(stands blocking and doesn't jump guard or ninja move kunai) you can cancel the dash in front of your opponent and either mash (risk of getting countered) or do a tech combo
inputs tech combo=b, switch, b (has to be fast) or switch b b(fast) or hold b while switching and b(can be done slower than the others) these all work, depends which one you feel the most comfortable with
If the enemy likes to jump guard a lot you can use kunai bags paired with dash switch to catch them or you can throw kunai and either block so that if they try to dash after they bump on ur guard leaving them unsafe or dash switch tech
The options are many and you could do the kunai glitch on guard (I prefer the dash switch jump kunai because it's safer and takes less resources)to destroy the guard really fast
(dash switch, jump towards the enemy, kunai)
Important tip is if you get the health lead, play defensive so that they have to approach you or they will lose because of the timer
