I have learned needle tatting with you some time ago, now am planning to learn Armenian knot lace!!! You are such good teacher!! Thank you!! Greetings from Argentina!!
Thank you so much!!!! I have the same book but I couldn’t understand how the knots were made. This is so helpful and now I can start again with this technique.
All this time, I've been using the knot that's formed in Puncetto Valsesiano and Oya. The counter-clockwise wrap is new to me, but I like the knot it forms! Thanks for a really good video!
Beeswax is great for stopping threads (particularly cotton) from tangling. I always wash projects at the end bc I have dog hair around and sometimes snack while working. If any of the beeswax won’t wash out, dish soap should get it.
Drat. I'd never heard of this before - despite my sister having an Armenian father in law. Now I shall think I need to learn this as well. (Already do tatting, knitting and crochet.) Sigh.
Yay! I love that you are doing videos again. (I learned a lot from your needle tatting videos.) I wish you'd make more of them also.. You are a great teacher! I've been wanting to learn this type of needle lace for a long time and I'm so thrilled that you are doing these videos. Thank you for sharing the technique with us.
sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the login password. I would love any help you can give me
@Bryce Vincenzo thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Thank you I love this. Have been fascinated with this lace for some time, its wonderful to see it and have it explained close up. Looking forward to more vidoes!
Thank you for your videos. I've been trying this technique on and off for a while now. It's good to see more new videos about it. I'm also really into Puncetto Valsesiano work. If you have any experience in that technique I'd love to see/hear any advice you can give.
Have lots of channels teaching this lace. If you write "iğne oyası yapımı" on search you can find lots of different techniques. She is called Armenian lace but its real name is "iğne oyası" which mean is "needle lace" but Turkish way😊 this lace its really famous in Turkey and lots of lady making.
Thank you, love your tutorial. Would you make videos for some other stitches. I love to learn to make needle laces and looking in books is hard to understand what they are talking about.
thank you for English version, I did began needle lace looking at the non English versions, and it was'n all that bad, but with the English I an sure that I now understand safetly.
I'd really like to get a copy of that book is it out there anywhere I couldn't find in the comments where it could be gotten or purchased a copy I've been so interested in this lace I do Bob and lace but it's not portable this is portable
Hi Pamela! Is there some kind of technic so as to make all those little waves the same size?? Am just learning with you, but, although I try my best, they come out as they please!! 😁😁😂😂
You can use a large crochet hook or pencil to stick where the loop is going, so the loops are uniform. Just like with the broomstick stitch in crochet or with popsicle sticks with other lace techniques. You take something that gives you the width of the loop you want, small or bigger.
She used cotton type of lace thread. Actually this lace name is "iğne oyası" not Armenian needle lace. If you are beginner this cotton thread is much easier but if you want to make it real one you have to use polyester thin shiny thread (oya ipliği). Because this kind of threads stronger, live longer and looking much more beautiful than cotton 😉👍🏻

Is the ebook you showed still available?

No technique that I know of, just good old fashioned practice. It took me a while to get consistent and I'm still very far from perfect with it.

Beautiful tutorial!! Thank you SO much :)
Hi can you put a list of what you need ....thanks
All you need is some thread, any size and a needle that matches the thread along with a small piece of cloth. I used size 20 cotton thread here
Obrigado por ensinar!
❤ Brasil
Thank you!
Wonderful !
How do you make the crocheted cord? Is it the same size thread or larger?
I used the same size thread. There are lots of tutorials online for crochet cords, I used one for Romanian point lace braid cord.
took me quite a few stiches to realise I needed to being the tail thread under and then right back over to the right again to form the knot oops
What is the typeof thread to use. Thanks

What thread are you using
If I remember correctly, here I'm using size 10 DMC cebelia, but some of the other pieces are with size 20 or 30
