Throughout this video I can see such beauty in both the narrative and scenery that I can picture in my mind. Edit: As I continue to listen to this and think on it a theory is forming in my mind. The fairy godparent who used magic to create a dazzling suit from some rags and a luxurious carriage out of a pumpkin being literal is the result of this story being altered over time. Mere flowery language that became a glorious legend ✨ The 12th hour of the day being when power is gained rather than the 12th hour of the night being when it departs is a much more hopeful thing than what was in the modern story. It was when not only when someone gained the power that was already rightfully theirs, but also when a miracle made it much more than even than what any paper could say. When the Charming Princess came for her beloved. Nowadays the 12th hour represents a dream coming to an end as the spell making the commoner a noble comes to an end, bringing someone back to a terrible reality. Where the evil stepmother got back their power over the child who was dreaming of nobility.
You know, when I first wrote this it was a standalone, and I decided to leave out the magical elements and have a tailor substitute for the fairy godmother. (Recall that in the original story, the prince - whose role is being taken over by our heroine in this version - never encounters the godmother or magic.) Then when I had the idea to make it a series, it became clear to me that magic was going to have to be real in our alternate version of the Disney multiverse. So I rewrote this script to leave it ambiguous. It *could* have been the tailor, or it could have been magic and our princess just doesn’t know that!

The concept of the series is to swap the roles of the prince and princess, but leave everything else as close as possible to the way it was in the original story, consistent with assimilating the main role change. In some cases (Sleeping Beauty) almost nothing else had to change. In others (Mulan) accommodating the main role change meant reworking the whole story. And some are in between.
I thought about including her! But the concept of the series is to put the princess in the prince’s role, and in Snow White the prince doesn’t really have much of a role. Of course I could have done female dwarves! But that would have clashed pretty hard with the romantic focus in the series. Maybe in the next series!
Wow, Cinderella doesn't miss her biological parents but they passed away a long time ago and she had an evil stepmom and 2 of her step-sisters how cruel it feels to have evil Step-Moms try to have stone-cold hearts!!!
