This is just superb, I have been researching "how to make electricity at home easily" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Diyadison Penhloe Blaster - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a smashing exclusive guide for generating your own electricity minus the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my brother in law got excellent success with it.

Great video. Make more videos and keep spreading the word. If people had just a little information on electric motors and how to make stuff from junk, they would do the following: they would
    1. Stop paying for gas to run gas engines.
    2. Generate their own electricity to power their homes
    3. Recondition old batteries
    4. Grow a garden
    5. Stop giving their money away
    6. And the list goes on and on....

Alkaline batteries, which I presume are the most common household battery, are hard to recharge do to the fact it’s a galvanic cell converting chemical to electrical, and not holding that electrical energy in a magnetic field, let’s say like an inductor, so that wouldn’t really work if someone was just turning to refill their old AA batteries. But hopefully they do have a capacitor or something :P

I love how u say it for the new ppl and u r so right most dont understand about dc motors or how many diff ways u can use them u rock u gave if ppl listen how to make power out of junk and u need to do one on the lies on ac power and how most electronics can be converted from ac to what they use dc. I show ppl all the time how to use the power they make not loose most to makin it into ac just use it as dc for lighting and running tvs after u convert it all. Keep it up!

lol im watching this as my wife is peddling a bike that is spinning a treadmill motor that is charging my battery bank that is running my laptop and wifi internet router. our entire home is powered by wind and solar and soon two water turbines. tomorrow im installing earth grounds to collect the 5vdc from the dirt by shoving a copper rod and a galvanized rod into the ground and connecting to my battery bank. im 100% off grid in every aspect but internet of course.

I'm a intermediate electronics/energy student. I agree with your video 100%. I'm so sick of hearing "that breaks the law of blah blah blah" Until someone witnesses a device that collects radiant energy, and expresses more usable energy, than was consumed...I guess its their sheepish nature to believe that is FACT that it is impossible. Its that same blind faith that lead us to the situation were in now. Keep up the good work.

Hey waswestkan. Thanks for the tip. I am new the alternative energy and don't know a whole lot about motors. I went out and bought everything I saw in the video, or so I thought, and nothing happened. Come to find out that not all dc motors have are permanent magnet. The video was good and the idea inspiring but a little detail would have saved me a huge headache and a few bucks.

You know, in the old days in recording studios - back when they used to record on an acetate (which means they cut the sound directly to a lacquered disc) They used to have the disc's turntable powered by a falling weight! The second Engineer's job was to crank the weight up into the top of the building, and it fell at the exact rate that the turntable needed to turn. According to George Martin, who recorded the Beatles. It is in his book "All you Need Are Ears."

hey Sir:: no bad comments from me.I would like thank you for the idea of springs or weights great thinking. i've worked on this stuff for many years and never thought of those things. thats why i'm here surfing tooyube looking for new ideas. THANKS I'll run with it. The neat thing is i have a a collection of pulleys and parts to play with. i even have a high lift jack just like in your vid. I think I'll start with a captured coil spring off an old car.

You are completely right, however you could get even more electricity depending on the type of dc motor you use. Standard ones use brushes which rub, causing losses through friction, and generating a lot of RF noise. look for brushless DC motors, which are less common because they are less cheap to manufacture.
