Eternatus has a base 140 hp, he might’ve been able to survive in red hp even if he got outsped but eternabeam was just broken
@@azzydreamurr5677 nah metwo would've melt eternus if he actually have a signature special move of his own instead of having the same old moves that most basic norm pyshics type have. For example a psychic move like Deoxis psycho boost with a base of 140 damage. Like give mewtwo Pyscho Hyperbeam with a 150-180 damage. That will melt any poison for sure. A timid mewtwo will still melt any poison with that amount of damage, his high special ability and weakness stabs. In this case this mewtwo is outsped by a timid eternus which used its own unique signature special moves eternalbeam base damage of 160. theres no way a mewtwo will be able to kill it with just psyhic with a base of 90 if its a timid too. If it would to kill it or not it is outsped, though eternals special defense is weak he might survive a weak psychic ( base 90) with his higher hp. But we can't tell because mewtwo here is outsped. More like first generation legendary lacks their own special moves and lack their own special ability too that is why all these newer generation are made to be better to use in any circumstances. Newer generation like for example most gen 6-8th legendaries now have their own unique ability and moves to make them unique and competitive for pvp. imagine giving each unique signature abilities and personal moves to legends in gen 1 to 2. These will make them even better.
in this scenerio eternus own signature broken move (eternabeam base damage 160) makes him the superior over a norm move mewtwo that almost all psychic have. If eternabeam damage were to be at 90 damage it depends on who is the fastest to win. A timid mewtwo will win both having the same 90 damage. psychic at 90 and eternabeam at 90. It will go to a round two before one were to be a winner. A timid wins anyday going to second round with both moves at 90 damage.
@@killeyx u also forgot that the move they used wasn’t psychic they chose psystrike which is a move that though is special actually does damage depending on the defence stat instead of the special defence stat
Yes ! I know you will mention that....But i know about psytrike and that is hidden move and its damage used to be 100 and then nerf to 90 and it only does physical damage which mewtwo physical damage stats is weak too so can't do much either. It is no different from a regular psychic move (psychic-damage 90)beside it does physical damage. That is why I don't mention it. It's purely a move that is not really a signature move given to mewtwo when its damage used to be only better than a normal move by a bit but nerf now. Also not all mewtwo know it off the bat though. But if they actually makes the move a 150 damage plus that will make mewtwo way too op so guess its the scaling game. It's the damage to the move that makes eternus the better choice. Even wild kyogre and Groudon don't have their signature moves too. These first two gen don't have their signature move in the wild but hidden and weak in damage as well too. Wild Groudon and kyogre don't have precipice blade and Origin pulse (110 damage) 85% accuracy. Beside these moves are weaker with a less accuracy. Even a hyper beam and dragon meteor does more damage and have way better accuracy rate, just that the one round charge is the downfall. And yet some elvove pokemon knows them or can be taught. Still these new gen legendaries have better damage on their special moves and moves don't have better accuray rate or recharge round to them as well. 160 damage to eternus eternabeam and 90% accu is a joke. It's really like it does not missed much with that amount of damage too. Like I say the output to the move damage is why eternus beats mewtwo. If both moves where at 90 mewtwo wins even going into a two round or mewtwo can 1 shot him in first with his high special who know. We know that a 90 damage eternabeam wouldn't kill a mewtwo though.

I think it's Worst idea to give Mew Gmax when it's Kanto vs Galar. Instead give Mewtwo any Mega Evolution

eternatus is weak to psychic and in Kanto there's 2 Psychic poke
Eternatus is tanky and has 130 base speed with 145 spa I don’t think that would’ve made a difference especially since Eternatus was timid. Which is why it outsped mewtwo and if mewtwo was timid he wouldn’t have killed it in one shot.

Going for the Dynamax that early was a very interesting move but I think you could've switched to Moltres and Defeated Calyrex easily

Obviously galar will win, galar legendaries are made with strong competitive characteristic. At the contrary, kanto leggendaries are more for collection and they was outpowered many times during generations.
