Thank you so much for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support and kind words 😇 unfortunately I don't use a iphone but the easiest way to get it running is with Samsung SmartThings app and if you have the one that need s the hub its cheap and so worth owning as you can link all your smart products together in one place and use it as security. Having said that you should be able to download the locks app and just scan the QR code inside the locks battery area make sure your bluetooth is on and you have the code ready it should be that easy😉

Now click the top left you will see a drop-down box that says assign codes you can also invite and assign through the app. You also cam send the person that code here. you will also get a notification when that code is used and be able to stop it from being accessible at any time. Just a helpful follow-up to this. Apparently, they have updated SmartThings and this function has moved. Took me a few minutes to stumble on it. Like he said, after its setup and enrolled open SmartThings and at the bottom middle tap the LIFE icon. Scroll down and you will see the Smart Lock Guest Access card. Tap that card. when it has loaded look at the very top left, and you should see LOCKS. tap that little pulldown arrow and you will then see LOCK CODES. There you are! Enjoy!!

Samsung smarthings is a ecosystem that brings everything to one place. But some smart items run on different connection types not wifi. Unfortunately this lock needs a hub as its not a wifi device. But They do sell locks that are however. This is the reason its not working or connecting as without a hub it will try to connect through wifi only. As a example the Samsung QN800B and QN900B 8k tvs have built the hub into the tv. This allows you to connect devices through all connection types. It's possible your tv has it look up smarthings on your tvs smart hub and see if you can activate it that way.

Having said that if you watch the video starting at 15 minutes on I will show you screenshots of exactly what it looks like with Samsung Smartthings at the point of this video when it was put up last year in July Samsung Smart things did not let you see who came and went or let you change the code from the app. all it showed you was if the lock had been opened or closed and it would alert you if anyone opened it. I show you screenshots of that in the video however today you now have more features with Samsung Smart things what you would do is activate Smart Lock guest access you can now assign codes and see which one of those codes opened your door you can also still manually lock and unlock or use the app to do so all ran through the simple ecosystem of Samsung SmartThings which is in turn is like a complete Security system now hopefully this will help you get where you want to be.
