These moves look 100% identical to Bujin Taijutsu. I mean, I guess it could be a native Filipino martial art, but only because the Philippines are close enough to Japan that it's entirely possible Taijutsu practitioners from hundreds of years ago could have made it to the Philippines and spread their martial art. The moves just look too spot-on identical for them to have developed independently.
(There's even a freaking curved stick that has a handle and blade profile identical to a Katana. I mean, come the freak on!)

I wouldn't be surprised because the Philippines is one of those places where a lot of cultures passed through and there was a lot of mixing - of all kinds LMAO - Spanish people colonized them, there was war with the Japanese, Muslims somehow ended up there... So like, seeing similarities to Japanese arts makes sense, Japanese people definitely passed through!

There’s a lot of overlap with this art and Aikido. Thank you for the video. It’s informative

Honestly there's not generally in kali much overlap with the Japanese arts but that wrist lock he did is definitely very aikido. Most of the Japanese responses to knife attacks in Judo and aikido will get you killed lol
