I just got back from practice and fell three times I fell more than I made it over lol my coach looked at me and said “well we know you will be cut out for hurdles because you can fall and get scraped up pretty bad and you still have a smile on your face”
As a hurdler myself, I must admit that falling over a hurdle is possibly one of the most humiliating things that could ever happen to someone. However, that being said, it's also the funniest damn thing you could witness.
I did hurdles fine in middle school, and then I decided to do the 300m hurdles for my freshman year and hadn't done any conditioning. By that last hurdle I just thought "uh-oh I'm too tired" and just flopped over the hurdle
Yes SAME. My first meet in 9th grade, I did 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles.. I got 4rd place 1.02 seconds time but i fell over the last one.... It's like your legs have no more energy to jsut jump.
Funastics that’s rubbish you don’t get DQ’d for running out of tour lane in a straight race. Only if you impede another athlete by doing so. They may have not DQ’d him as it didn’t affect the guy in second place. Depends on how harsh the judges were
One of my fellow teammates this track season told me that he once front flipped over a hurdle and finally got back on his feet about 10 inches ahead of it! He’s one of my track friends. P.S. I wrote this comment on Easter Sunday of 2022. I’m chilling at the church and I hope you all have an amazing Easter whenever that is for you!!!
I am In track...I compete in pole vault, 100 meter hurdles, 200 meter dash, and 4 by1 relay. The dumbest thing I have ever done is pole vaulted with spikes on. I cleared 8 ft , then landed on the mat only to have my spikes sink into my legs
I started doing hurdles this year and its really scary for me because people fall and hurt themselves all the time. In every meet in scared ill hit a hurdle, but somehow I never have. I've hit hurdles in oraxtoce, but nicer fallen.
people don't realize how actually dangerous hurdles are I have done hurdles for about a year now and I'm one of the best in my grade.I haven't fallen but my fellow hurdler has a she now as a huge mark on her leg
For every year I have done hurdles (110 meter high hurdles and 300 meter hurdles for 3 years) I have gotten a scar. Think of it as a battle scar, or a mark of dedication.
Marks aren’t that bad. I’m varsity hurdling for my high school and I fell during my sophomore year. I had a nasty scrape down the length of my forearm and shin, and completely tenderized my palms. But it healed in a few days.
I don't think that's funny. You can get really hurt going at that speed. Imagine going at 20mph and hitting the ground. And wearing shorts so your bare skin slides across the ground
I didn't think it was very funny. I'm new to hurdles, but I've been told I'm pretty good. During my first meet I got nervous, and I tripped over a hurdle. It is one of the most humiliating things that can happen to you when you're about to win.
Yup. I just had another meet yesterday, and although I was so nervous I was shaking, I DID IT! It's always considered a victory when you don't fall on your face. :-)
The same thing happened to me .. My first year in track I had not fallen not once .. But as the season went on I got tired out and at one of our biggest meets (districts).. I tripped over the hurdle and slid on the concrete.. That was not a good day..
Considering sprint hurdles for men are 42" and long hurdles 36", Kudos to anyone that even does this event. The nice thing about getting older is that they get lower. For me at age 60+, they are only 33" for the sprints and 30" for the long. Low enough to step over when you get tired...
Some of them are funny but when you fall it hurts I hurdle and I was at a meet and it was pouring rain I slipped while running and basically face planted and fell off the track since I was on the outside lane.
as long as it is not deliberate or you touch it with your hand, it is still legal. You can even step over them if you are tall enough. an obscure rule that some don't know is your trail leg, if it passes the side of the hurdle, like those running the 300/400m on a turn, it must be high enough to cross the invisible height of the hurdle if it was extended. So even if you clear it with your lead leg, if your trail leg goes around the hurdle but is too low, then that is a foul.
When I have bad hurdle meets, I just watch vids like these and feel better. lolz
Liana Guidone same I fell really badly at an invitational twice
That’s what I’m doing rn😅
Literally what I’m doing rn

yes ive fallen over a hurdle 5 times in a year lol
I did hurdles fine in middle school, and then I decided to do the 300m hurdles for my freshman year and hadn't done any conditioning. By that last hurdle I just thought "uh-oh I'm too tired" and just flopped over the hurdle
I know this is a very very late reply but personally I just bunny hopped the last one knowing I probably couldn’t hurdle it on my first meet 😂
Yes SAME. My first meet in 9th grade, I did 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles.. I got 4rd place 1.02 seconds time but i fell over the last one.... It's like your legs have no more energy to jsut jump.
I remember in 8th grade I had to do this and I was 4.8 ft tall. I did not have a good time
*a t A L L*
2:13 that takes some skill dude.
1:06 still won it.
But would've been disqualified for going out of his lane

THERE ARE TEARS IN MY EYES FROM LAUGHTER

2:09 lmao
Seeing that made me realize that my first season of hurdles was beautiful
I am In track...I compete in pole vault, 100 meter hurdles, 200 meter dash, and 4 by1 relay. The dumbest thing I have ever done is pole vaulted with spikes on. I cleared 8 ft , then landed on the mat only to have my spikes sink into my legs
0:33 he fell cause his pants are down
Guy slid under the hurdle like it was Subway Surfers. (2:01)

*Practice
I broke my arm in 100m hurdles but I still was able to finish
Iovan Goytia thats dedication
same bud lol it sucks
this shit is funny. Thanks for the laugh.
The first had me in tears
Everyone eats it at least once during their time as a hurdler. Just gotta pick yourself up and finish.
dragoon1940 done that many times hit the first hurdle but got back up and almost got 2nd to last lol
people don't realize how actually dangerous hurdles are I have done hurdles for about a year now and I'm one of the best in my grade.I haven't fallen but my fellow hurdler has a she now as a huge mark on her leg
Oh please.
+TheBiggaproductions oh please what
kayla Vanoosten It can be dangerous, but it isn't _as_ dangerous as you depicted it.

this was supposed to be funny..the music made it sad! ugh
for some reasons not as entertaining as expected - I think it's the music
Now I feel sorry for them I don't want to watch anymore fail vids cause of this with its sad music
2:02 he was going so good lol
I guess there was more than one way to cross that.
I feel their pain >.
nice
Way to pick the most boring hurdle fails and sleepy music xD
4:57
I just muted the music and played "Macarena"
I Remember My 1st Time On Hurdles
It was not Pretty
funny vid, but I beg of you sir, try and re-edit the music :(
nobody needs a reply for every SINGLE clip
2.18 hahahahahaha
Hurdles are too high.
I don't think that's funny. You can get really hurt going at that speed. Imagine going at 20mph and hitting the ground. And wearing shorts so your bare skin slides across the ground
Music was so unnecessary
Despite the shit music i laughed my head off😂😂😂 I'm a hurdler so I probs shouldn't be watching this
WE DON'T NEED A SLOW MO EVERY TIME AFTER THE FAIL
WE ALREADY SAW IT
AND THE MUSIC SUCKED BUTT
Thanks for the tip! :)
I disagree; the slow motion was the best part
Just a tip. Don't show the slowmo of every video. Fuckin boring.
This is the sh*ttiest music ever
Very racist video haha
Worst music ever... Really killed the video :(
0:56, first time I've seen someone fail at hurdles, and still finish first lol.
2:10 limbo master
Jeez I was laughing at the beginning but then I hear the music and I get bummed
You guys are right about the music, but I can't do much about it anymore... You should give the second episode a shot
i know right hahaha
what's wrong with the music it fits perfectly
The one at 2:00 got me...
The only people that have the right to laugh at this are those who have fallen before while doing hurdles. It can hurt and it can be hilarious.
Is it wrong that I can't stop laughing at this???? 😂😂😂😂
I didn't think it was very funny. I'm new to hurdles, but I've been told I'm pretty good. During my first meet I got nervous, and I tripped over a hurdle. It is one of the most humiliating things that can happen to you when you're about to win.
Kooky Karma One of the biggest fails in this video is performed by me :DI know what you're talking about.
Yeah. :3 I almost got a nasty scrape across my face. In the video, my mom looks devastated when I crash and burn.
Yes! The first time I did hurdles I fell and my legs were all muddy but I got better!
Yup. I just had another meet yesterday, and although I was so nervous I was shaking, I DID IT! It's always considered a victory when you don't fall on your face. :-)

The runner in 0:54 fell in an 100m hurdles race and still won.
Lmao! I was about to comment that.
the usic killed it, had to stop watching.
Usic Usic Huh Huh
I know I couldn't do it at all & it may not be nice of me, but on my extremely bad days I come here & lmao 🤷😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Guy drops broom and puts hands on hips and just looks at fallen hurdler 😂😂🤣
Slomo replays are a pain in the ass.
NO ONE WANTS TO SEE IT IN SLO MO
i did
0:23 is a thrower for sure
"how hard can it be to jump over 4 hurdles at once..." welcome to reality. He had no speed at all.
Some of them are funny but when you fall it hurts I hurdle and I was at a meet and it was pouring rain I slipped while running and basically face planted and fell off the track since I was on the outside lane.
The frame by frame replay after every fail is annoying as fuck. This is why I watch Russian driving fails.
I'm sorry but 2:01 made me laugh so hard🥲 I've tripped during hurdles myself so I feel for that guy
This is good motivation for people that didn't train for hurdles over the summer.
I just got home from my first track meet and I fell bad on my second hurdle. Watching this to make me feel better
First time I done hurdles was in a sixty metre race and I was only 4ft3... The hurdles were like to my neck but I got a 14 second time 👌
Lets face it, some of us watch the hurdles just to see if people faceplant on the track.
I feel their pain. I was a hurdler but I got moved to distance because of an injury.
Gad, I hate that last straight away. Worst feeling physically.
what is the music? I liked it
The trials and tribulations of the audiophile
First time I tried hurdles I face planted the ground
So a second one with less depressing music
That was awesome and great choice of music lol
Not sad music tho - - __
I feel this lol
Wats the name of this song/beat? can I use it or u send it to me? ill give full credit!
You can use it but I cannot send it to you because it's a free beat that RUclips offered me. The name of the song is Grass - Silent partner
MrKOwatte Ok thank you, and yes I understand sounds good :)
what happens when you knock over a hurtle
you do not get disqualified. It usually just slows down your race time.
as long as it is not deliberate or you touch it with your hand, it is still legal. choose a diffrent song
music ruined it
MUSIC SUCKS !!!
Thanks for your opinion! :)
MrKMate i like, very nice
mfs who fall over a hurdle and get back up and running with no reaction at all are fucking superheros dude
