SEEDS OF TRUTH MATURE ONLY IN GOOD GROUND
For today's lesson, the spirit of God gave me a test of listening to the Holy Spirit's teaching. Because I often hear the spirit when I sit down and write. Revelation into the things of God and the scriptures most often do not come in completed form; they come in step-by-step sections.
This is a test when we enter into a revelation to see if we will take the next step, trusting the Lord that he will lead us to a completed revelation.
I sat down and wrote Mark 4, then I wrote Genesis 3, then Ezekiel 42.
OK, Lord, I said as I said for a moment, what are you telling me?
He said, read those three chapters and listen to what I want to tell you.
So I did, and out of that came the lesson for today.
Mark 4 is rich in the revelation of how the kingdom operates. In this chapter, we get the great parable of the sower and the seed.
Genesis 3, we are in the garden with God, watching the first test of obedience to mankind. We learn many things in this chapter, including that obedience to God's commands has blessings and disobedience has its own rewards.
We also see the depth of God's grace as he gave us the first promise of the coming redemption through Jesus Christ.
Ezekiel 42, we find out that Angels talk to us. We see the detailed nature of God as the angel measures the building's exact measurements. And we learned that the anointing abides on the garments of the priest. The anointing of God is a tangible, transferable, heavenly gift.
However, this chapter also teaches that it is reserved for those who have set themselves apart for God and his kingdom.
We see that same principle given to us in Mark 4. Here, we learn that some people can receive the word of God and understand it, while others cannot because they are distracted by the world and the things around them.
This is a good day to separate ourselves under the precious anointing God has given us.
