Anyone know where that was? She says it's a 70 but maybe because of Potatocam™ I can’t see any signs, otherwise the streetlamps might make it a 30
@@electrogrim doesnt matter on the speed limit there were 2 lanes to use but she just wanted the content to add to the non-event so stayed behind and moaned some more
@@electrogrim this is the thing that throws me - dual carriage ways without signs are 70... unless there are a sequence of street lights, then it's 30. Or there are speed limit signs.
Which makes me think our signage should be alot better. Alot of UK drivers are unaware/confused by this as it is, so how on earth are foreign drivers meant to know these sort of things? (Without having to study & decipher the highway code in a foreign language)
1:24 - you need to chill out. It's annoying when people queue jump, but no need to get so worked up. Follow the Volvo driver's example, they backed off and just gave them a gap, and probably had a much more relaxing journey doing so.
Yes, let them go. Arrive home for tea stress free.
It’s not even queue jumping, lots of roundabouts that have high traffic at peak times have a left lane to turn left to keep traffic low but you can use both lanes
2:15 comes from a hidden position, which looks like a pedestrian area. Then accelerates up behind the car as its turning. They've got to expect they probably haven't been seen. Maybe make allowances for others rather than expect everyone to make allowances for them.
Regardless of all that though, they need to be more aware and be looking around when reversing
@danielgill2593 And regardless of that, you should be aware that your in a car park, vehicles will be moving in all directions so best not to sit up the arse of a vehicle.
@@danielgill2593 Exactly. Being in a car park, with vehicles coming from all directions, making sure it is clear for you to perform whatever maneuver should be even greater.
@2:15 Colin C, dont sneak up on a car like that and it will probably not happen. plan an escape route in, you were so slow to get to the horn as you were confused, would have been safer to move left with your hands on the controls already and get out the way. or better yet, use a parking space or go the longer way out the car park and avoid the drivers in the middle searching for a space and not paying attention to what is around them.
Lack of forward planning from them
A lot of these are the dash cammers being self entitled and thinking they own the roads

2:45 If you're going so slow that a truck overtakes you, explains why you're driving at a snails pace in a highway, and seeing that trucks are limited to 56mph, then anyone going slower than that are dangerous drivers
What rubbish. It's likely there are 50mph restrictions on the road, due to the works going on. Further evidence: how about the fact EVERY OTHER CAR IS GOING RHE SAME SPEED. You can hardly accuse the cammer of driving too slow for the traffic, when they in fact meeting the same speed. That is not dangerous driving, mong.
Because Colin C should know the slowest way to leave a car park is to follow a car entering the car park.

Highway maintenance vehicles often speed and drive very badly. Somebody needs to do something about the issue.

Just travelled from county Durham to Kent. Wish id had a dashcam, very few drivers were keeping their distance from the vehicle in front, even when that vehicle was truck and couldn't possibly see them they were that close, or moving into the gap id left between myself and the vehicle in front. There was also a couple of times that i thought there was going to be an accident as 3 or 4 cars all criss crossed each other trying to change lanes at exactly the same time. I was doing about 60-65mph, or slower as it was busy, plus roadworks in places. This was the A1.
I drive the A1 frequently. Have to agree with you. Especially lane hoggers who refuse to vacate lanes 2/3. Peterborough section the worst on my journeys.
7:45 I'd be more aggrieved at the 2 buses causing issues, parked at a junction, on zigzags, across a crossing, with a bus stop right ahead.
Why do so many of these drivers feel the need to speed up rather than slow down when they see a hazard coming up? So many of these weren't even an issue but the driver speeds up to make sure there is nearly a smash

Given the traffic cones it is possible there is a temporary speed limit (say 50 mph) in place that the cars are obeying but the lorry isn't so they decided to use lane 3

Not in the blind spot, clearly. Also, under the law, all motorists have a responsibility for the safety of other road users.
Don't make me search out the relevant legislation, google "hierachy of road users" and save me the effort of educating you.

@@thorin4406 the car has stopped, at an angle, in a car park. There's no obvious obstruction in front. The aware biker would assume the car is about to move weirdly and allow it the space to do so. In this case he decided to drive right up to the car and put himself in danger.
Should the car driver have paid more attention? Sure. But why put yourself in a precarious situation where your safety is at the hands of someone else, when you don't have to?
The bellend going on the wrong side off the bollards. I had one do the same, caught up at the next set of lights, Beeped and pointed to camera, the colour drained from his face😂😂.

@@leemuggeridge1392the traffic lights were on green as the traffic were approaching, what colour WILL the lights become? Yes, they WILL change to red. So you should slow down for a green traffic light because it WILL change to red and you need to be able to stop. The truck hadn’t slowed down enough due to incompetence and then chose to run the red light.

9:44 Now imagine that pedestrian trips and falls in the road, do you really think blaring the horn is the best option or drastically reducing your speed? You slowed ever so slightly but if you'd collided with that pedestrian then trust me, you'd be looking at charges in court for not taking avoiding action when you had the opportunity, and rightly so!
You need to do better my friend, make it a non-event.
