fun fact; genie in return of jafar is voiced by Dan
Castellaneta. voice of homer, and he voiced genie in the kingdom hearts series.

And the Aladdin TV Series, as "Return of Jafar" is not only a continuation to the theatrical movie, but is also a test pilot for the TV series, expanding on the characters a bit more, even though Genie gets relegated to being (in his own words) "semi-phenomenal, nearly cosmic (but don't sell me short)".

Personal worst to best-101 Dalmatians 2 (I don’t really remember this one which may be telling in of itself because I love Disney movies and had almost every single one on VHS), Brother Bear 2, Return of Jafar, Fox and the Hound 2, Tarzan 2, Tarzan and Jane, Lion king 1/2, Jungle Book 2(This is where I start to actually really like the movies), Return to Neverland(may have enjoyed it more than the first but I had seen it as a kid before I saw the first), An Extremely Goofy Movie, Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp’s Adventure, Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride.
I personally don’t understand why people don’t like the Lion king sequel. The soundtrack doesn’t miss. Suzanne Pleshette did a phenomenal job as Scar’s mate Zira. I’ve watched my lullaby with her voice edited to be lower and it sometimes sounds just like Jeremy Iron’s Scar. She really matched his vocals phenomenally. People complain about the romance and Kovu but the first Lion King is just Hamlet. Simba’s Pride is Romeo and Juliet. It makes perfect sense from a writing standpoint and I loved their story. It was really touching especially since we got to see them as friends when they were kids. I love Kovu’s whole torn between two worlds plot and the darkness of him being trained from childhood to literally assassins Simba. I really felt it when he was exiled even when he had chosen to not follow through with it. Great action, still really good animation, funny and liekable characters on both sides. Kovu’s exile and the stopping of the final battle were really sad as well. I didn’t like it as much as the first but it’s honestly right next to it in my top Disney films. I love rewatching it. Same as the goofy movie sequel. I love the first more but the sequel is right up there next to it for me. Anyways that’s my personal ranking.

I also really hated the cast change in brother bear 2. and I love brother bear, the colors and the soundtrack really do it for me. the voice acting was good too. not top tier level voice acting but good nonetheless. brother bear 2 and a number of these sequels fall under a cheap cash grab. they needed something to relate to their "golden films" that would bring in extra money for their other films. i remember ads in early 2000's films for king of thieves, and return of jafar. they were cheesey to say the least.

@@TGMD1986 I don't think Return of Jafar is bad; if anything it's an interesting sequel to go by; a character arc for a former villain sidekick, whilst still having his own negative quirks, and making his own decision in being independent, or having to find benefit in switching to the good side. If anything, I thought Simba's Pride was one of the worst.
