The scooter does indeed come with a very cheap battery pack. I opened it up and found grade C 18650 2200mAH cells (Unbranded China Brand cells) which explain the lack of power. I replaced the 18650 cells with Panasonic NCR18650F and doubled up the nickel strips for better current flow. The scooter now gets about 30 km range without an issue whatsoever. Any replacement battery pack you would buy online will most likely use cheap cells...
I believe that is so, but I just checked spec sheet for this cell, and it says Max continuous discharge current: 12 A. Isn't it a bit dangerous to use these cells then, because the original cells can hold 20A continuous discharge, and I've seen by driving that scooter sometimes consumes more than 11A (up to 14-15A).
Had the same issue, Kugoo uses crappy batteries. I took mine apart and the batteries had only around 1500 Ah left in them per cel. I built a new 42v batterij using new 3,7V batteries with a tested capacity of 3350 Ah per cel. 10S4P configuration so 42V max and around 13,4 Ah. Works as a charm now!
Iv also opened this battery and they use 2500mah 3.6v chinese cells 10s 3p they shouldn't be charged to 42v it should only be 41v this won't result in immediate failure but greatly diminishes the cycle amount before large battery sagging Tips unplug at 41v And try keep from fully draining the battery before recharging that should help alot
I actually just bought one really cheap with this problem it was a bad bms that killed half the battery i replaced half the cells and put a new bms in now its good to go for anyone that might have problems with that your probably looking at a new battery .

when i drove into that puddle i saw volts go down very fast, and then just screen stopped working. tried to turn on the scooter and it turned on, showed 31volts, i pressed gas and it stopped working...
Hi all, I'm having exactly the same issue. Only 280km. Is this really a batery issue!? I've removed mine and measure the volts with a multimeter and it was above 36 volts.
@EscootXr - Central actually if you seal the front cover you can ride in rain just fine, because the water fucks everything up - it gets into battery contacts and electricity cant go from battery to controller.
@@vykintasmizgiris3247 hi bro, it sounds like you know quite a lot about water damage related to this particular electric scooter, could you please help me with mine and guide me on how to fix it perhaps?
the battery will last for 250 miles then you will need to replace it for around £80 on amazon. Never gonna buy a kugoo scooter EVER. I recommend The Chaos 1000w scooter from Fun rides. cost around £500 but last forever and battery if needed replacing cost around the same price and easy to replace.
The first battery was damaged after 300km. E-shop sent a new one for free. The new battery was damaged after 500km. The problem was probably not in the battery (charger? elektronics management?)... The solution - as a claim sent back for repair / replacement ...
@EscootXr - Central i have driven 1737km and i broke down 3 times: first controller died, i dunno how it got fixed overnight, but next morning it was just fine; 2nd and 3rd times i got water inside my battery, so i let it dry overnight next morning it was fine. last time it broke i said enough to me and sealed with hot glue, as well inside I put things that collect water, like from vitamins those bags with like somesort of powder inside. now it is working just fine.
First of all that’s a kugoo S3 and not S1, and second of all it is a fake copy model, meaning it wasn’t made by Jilong, the factory that makes the genuine kugoo scooters, how do I know? Well, it’s easy, the genuine kugoo S3 does not have the kg imprint on the handle bars.
That changes nothing. I have the exact same model (Kugoo S1), which by the looks is almost the same as this scooter in the video. Purchased from the original Kugoo store, same mileage, and very same problem with battery collapse. I guess they simply are not made to last longer than 1200-1300km (my previous Kugoo which was fake, lasted that long, before battery went dead)
Can’t u figure it it out any scooter kills batttery on hills it don’t mattter what type you have and drains it faster and also if you go faster the same thing
Kugoo s1 pro speed not 30 km/h. It max 25-26 km. And battery durable max 22-24 km after full charge. It is not water protected. My schooter has entered water and stopped. I communicated with seller and they told do not use in rainey season. It's not fair. My country has 7 months rain and snow. I do not like this toy schooter.

@@adamganjaman2275 yeah, I can ride it for 3-6km depending on half or full speed. Then it suddenly cuts power, always after 3-6km regardless if the battery is fully charged.
