I think one of the reasons MLM thrives so much in America is because our traditional work structure (9-5 jobs) are so exploitative of workers. In many European countries their workers are given much more time off, paternal and maternal leave, 6 weeks vacation etc. I think MLM has a much harder time thriving in countries like this while in America, MLM appears to be a much more tempting offer despite all the red flags and warnings.
Biggest difference is probably healthcare, most of Europe have a lot of state provided healthcare covered by taxes. And the taxes per person are soon much lower than insurance and co-pays

Like if 9-5s didn't exist you wouldn't have a doctor or if your child or you needed mental health treatment you wouldn't have us(this is my role a mental health worker). like WTH. haha. And spending money on 9-5s Yes I had to buy my work shirts but it was $60 for 2, they are under armour. Yes we dont get reimbursed, but if they get ruined on the job where it cant be worn they will give us a new one for free.

What day and time can I post it so I can get the biggest boost on my next business post? It’s the lighting, the editing, the color scheme to stay on brand, creating attractive and not spammy graphics and stories, meticulous wording and phrasing going into a post. It’s the time spent learning marketing so that you can appeal to people, hours watching Facebook updates videos to see how you can work the algorithm, years of experience knowing what works and what doesn’t for your own network because everyone’s is different. And it’s honestly at a cost to most people’s mental health, because it’s not fucking natural to live like that - ZERO work life balance. So yeah you can do it anywhere, but that doesn’t mean you should HAVE to do it and think about it everywhere. The average Facebook user who doesn’t know about algorithms, camera angles, doesn’t know how to write an enticing and captivating post, who doesn’t have previous sales or marketing knowledge cannot just casually drop stock images of shampoo or makeup or whatever product and go about their day and make money.... it doesn’t work like that, at all! And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, these people aren’t bad for caring about their social media image. I feel like the whole if you have time to watch netflix and the money to own a phone you should do network marketing is such a privileged argument on one hand and on the other hand negating the fact that not everyone should do network marketing. No one should have to monetize every waking moment. No one should have to justify what they spend their money on. And there are thousands of more important jobs that need to be done and roles that are essential to society before you even touch network selling. It is such a bloated market and a selfish mindset to think that network marketing is viable for everyone.

Even McDonald’s where I worked off and on during college and high school, didn’t charge for a uniform. Non slip shoes at Walmart are about $35. Starbucks doesn’t require no slip, though I got them while I worked there anyway. The apron was free. We didn’t have a uniform. When I worked for Power Crunch as part of the event staff and marketing team, we got full gear from Nike to wear at events that were branded and amazing quality for free. When my partner worked for Mercari in customer relations he got expensive swag for free, like backpacks, shirts, cups, etc for free. I don’t think this Hun has EVER had a real job.

Where i live you can buy a pair of "work safe" (velcro, washable) shoes for less than £10. Like I literally dropped on and got a pair for £3.50. That was working in healthcare. They were ugly ass shoes don't get it twisted, but I could sanitise them super fast.

It’s the lighting, the editing, the color scheme to stay on brand, creating attractive and not spammy graphics and stories, meticulous wording and phrasing going into a post. It’s the time spent learning marketing so that you can appeal to people, hours watching Facebook updates videos to see how you can work the algorithm, years of experience knowing what works and what doesn’t for your own network because everyone’s is different. And it’s honestly at a cost to most people’s mental health, because it’s not fucking natural to live like that - ZERO work life balance. So yeah you can do it anywhere, but that doesn’t mean you should HAVE to do it and think about it everywhere.
The average Facebook user who doesn’t know about algorithms, camera angles, doesn’t know how to write an enticing and captivating post, who doesn’t have previous sales or marketing knowledge cannot just casually drop stock images of shampoo or makeup or whatever product and go about their day and make money.... it doesn’t work like that, at all!
And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, these people aren’t bad for caring about their social media image. But ITS A TON OF FUCKING WORK and I’m so over the “if you’re scrolling through Facebook you can make money”

Oh god, I've seen her in my friend's videos. My friend used to be, or still is in Monat (she hasn't posted about it in a while, and I don't dare ask), and I remember hearing this girl's voice in her videos or posts that she shared. The girl in the video I think has some powerhouse project or something now that I've seen online. I could never :/ I'm so glad for you, Isabella, Deanna, Hannah and everyone else's videos. I dove down the deep end of anti MLM videos awhile ago, and now whenever I do an event as a small business owner I have to cringe when I see MLMs there, and I've even had to tell my dad which businesses are not MLMs.

I feel like the whole if you have time to watch netflix and the money to own a phone you should do network marketing is such a privileged argument on one hand and on the other hand negating the fact that not everyone should do network marketing. No one should have to monetize every waking moment. No one should have to justify what they spend their money on. And there are thousands of more important jobs that need to be done and roles that are essential to society before you even touch network selling. It is such a bloated market and a selfish mindset to think that network marketing is viable for everyone.

We were in the middle of a conversation while I was also having a snack and I crammed a whole pop tart in my mouth (I couldn’t help it, it was a chocolate one). Even McDonald’s where I worked off and on during college and high school, didn’t charge for a uniform. Non slip shoes at Walmart are about $35. Starbucks doesn’t require no slip, though I got them while I worked there anyway. The apron was free. We didn’t have a uniform. When I worked for Power Crunch as part of the event staff and marketing team, we got full gear from Nike to wear at events that were branded and amazing quality for free. When my partner worked for Mercari in customer relations he got expensive swag for free, like backpacks, shirts, cups, etc for free. I don’t think this Hun has EVER had a real job.
The rebuttals are funny imo. I also worked in sales and still kind of do, but financial sales so I can pretend to be an expert even though I’m still selling loans/negotiating deals. If they recruit people on SSI or disability and they make money, the person might lose those benefits. I saw it almost happen to a friend of mine. She waited many years for disability and when she got her backpay a girl pounced on her immediately to sell Scentsy. Thank God she didn't fall for it
Where i live you can buy a pair of "work safe" (velcro, washable) shoes for less than £10. Like I literally dropped on and got a pair for £3.50. That was working in healthcare. They were ugly ass shoes don't get it twisted, but I could sanitise them super fast.
Why do so many MLMers say ‘stop trading your time for money’? Do they have some kind of time machine where they’re able sell their crap without losing time? All these top performers work all the time. Many of them send their kids to daycare and are encouraged to by their up lines to do so, even though they recruited those people with the promise of being able to spend time with kids at home.
