- I honestly had no idea Black Ops Cold War was going to have a campaign similar to Black Ops 2 (in that you can make choices), but now that I do, I'll be working on documenting the differences.
As you should be able to tell from the length of the video, it should be pretty clear that this video was quite a doozy for me to work on. Obviously, I had no idea how many differences there were going into it, so I sort of had to go through the process of elimination which was, not gonna lie, kind of a pain in the ass. Anyways, I hope I didn't miss out on anything too major.

@@netoak7 Yeah, I chose the one where I have to make a separate key card altogether without betraying Charkov or killing him or anyone else. Its probably cause many of them Belikov knows personally so wouldn't necessarily want to kill them

Also because if Belikov got poisoned in his office, it would look _really fucking bad_ for Charkov. He was certain Belikov was the mole, but then he got poisoned and died right in front of him-- which, would likely have cleared him in Charkov's eyes, because the mole poisoned him (lmao). And... uh... would really made Charkov look like the culprit instead.
idk why but charkov seems like such a good character like the way he talks makes him seem like you dont wanna kill him

Based on his conversations and tone, even when he was accusing belikov he still treated belikov as a friend and never expected belikov to try to kill him. Perhaps he might even have helped belikov
One thing I just realized that when your Belikov, everyone speaks English with a Russian accent which I thought was weird until you switch over to bell where everyone speaks Russian. It a great little detail that alot of people would miss

Yeah, it's the Assassin's Creed treatment : everyone speak english if the playable character can understand them, but then the accent part doesn"t make sense, except if like the speaker comes from another part of Russia so it has a different accent and such.

This was my major issue with this mission. Wouldn’t they recognize Adler is American, and that Bell is a former MIA soviet agent?
Unless you play as Mason and I missed that? But I thought it was Bell, and therefore, everyone in the building should be like “yo didn’t you die”

The attention to detail in the phone call is really neat. He brings the phone up to his left ear and if your using headphones you'll hear the dialogue from alder being played through your left ear.

Real talk, I actually enjoyed the fuck out of this campaign. I wish there was some DLC or something. This was one of the most enjoyed campaigns I’ve played

I loved the campaign. It felt super rushed around the time the Cuba mission started, but even so, everything felt fluid, and like I was an actual government agent (until I wasn't)
100% agree. Haven’t enjoyed a CoD campaign this much since Black Ops 2
They actually were going to add dlc campaign missions but Activision said no

Damn, right before charkov dies by the poison and finding out belikov was the mole, one of the last things to say before he is dying is "sorry for not being a better friend". That shit hit hard😞. I feel bad

Good attention to detail in this one. When playing as belikov, everyone’s name is blue and you know who they are. When playing as Bell, everyone’s name is red and something like Russian Soldier.
I think the original Modern Warfare trilogy did that too. Except with green color for good instead of blue.
This level would have been perfect if all Soviet/Russian characters spoke their native tongue. Authenticity matters.
Well since Belikov speaks Russian as his (presumptive) native language, it would sound as regular to him as English sounds to Americans.
I would've thought the same thing on the Vorkuta mission and Reznov's flashback mission in the first Black Ops.

For some reason, they didn’t care about authenticity for this game. I agree it matters. They didn’t even bother to get the original woods voice actor even after he said he would happily return for the role. This was better than bo3 and 4 but they still slipped up on the little shit.
When you’re in the elevator and answer Zakhaev with “Just today, actually.” And then say Commander Sobul, you will get a dark ops calling card.

I think they were building up from the experience with WW2. The first half of the Paris mission there was like a simpler version of this: there was ultimately only one way to complete it instead of three, but it still played similarly and there were side objectives like saving a few prisoners.
Once u collect one card do you have to restart n get the others on or what
@@420mason as soon as you find a bunker key, every other objective is locked off and you have to go let bell in (which ends this part of the mission)
In 11:28, we have to type either Y or N, which means we need to press only one button. However, you can clearly hear that the character presses two buttons instead. I think this happens because the Russian word "Да" (which means Yes) consist of two letters as well
The devs could've also gotten lazy with the sound design but I'll accept this as well
Rlly wish we didn't have an option to kill charkov, seemed like a nice guy, bcs most people would just kill him instead of doing all that fetching for the reprogrammed keycard😔

Charkov knows Belikov is a betrayal, but he still keep low profile and talk to Belikov personally. Such a nice and true friend not supposed to die. And also Charkov have a family waiting for his retirement to have a happy old life
Man the amount of unique dialogue in this game is truly amazing. Treyarch and has done an outstanding job with this game and it’s stuff like this that really tingles my balls

@Aaron Warrior there isnt a Call of Duty game out there that doesnt have problems. As opposed to Bo3, and Bo4- Oh wait that game didnt have a campaign. But fr tho, this campaign was pretty good

I remember that I took a nonlethal path of rewriting another key after I talked to Charkov just because I felt sorry for the guy when he spoke about his daughter, wife and dreams.

The Armory is the only one that doesnt result in Charkov's death, and it's also the fastest, being able to be done in one corner, with 2 KOs
I'd wager that framing Charkov doesn't kill him either, considering some ten or fifteen minutes later the Soviets got guns on Belikov.
I've been playing call of duty for about 10 years now and this has to be one of the greatest missions I ever played!
You know something that gives me respect for Charkov? He doesn't threaten the guards dragging him away.

This entire campaign felt like a psychological thriller
I love the fact that everything he says about him killing everybody and breaking into stuff out loud
They missed the opportunity to have Adler turn to Bell on the elevator and say “Remember, no English.”
Dude I waited too long and immediately hit knock out. Seemed the only sensible option. That mission was full of great moments and true tension. Loved it.

Other than the 1st mission the campaign was fantastic. The team that worked on it did a great job, it was short but I’ll take quality over quantity any time

15:20 Another mention to a Modern Warfare character, Yuri. And I know for sure because of what the next guy says. Yuri knows Makarov who knows zackhaev which explains that part of the dialogue. I don’t even know if anyone’s caught that.
I think it might be a stretch, otherwise Yuri would be almost as old as Price in the MW timeline. Yuri is a pretty common name too like Dimitri (interesting that we've already played another Dimitri already). Unless we see an older Yuri in the MW reboot series, it could just be a coincidence.
@@Nolaris3 that is a valid point but at the same time they did this with multiple characters where they didn’t actually show up in the game but their name was mentioned. This is why this makes the most sense. Especially because of how it matches exactly the way the mw3 story played out
I heard of the one with shepherd but it's also a stretch given that the context of that sentence was used as a verb rather than someone's name. The developers may have used deliberate wording to player with our imagination though haha
Honestly, because everything is now being connected with the 2019 MW rather than the previous MW series, everything is really up in the air. The Zakhaev hinted as the future villain isn't even Imran (who now died from natural causes) but his son. With everything being reimagined left and right, I would not be surprised if this Yuri would eventually be reimagined as canon in the next MW.

You can tell which tea cup he would pick based on the position of the cigar. As it is being rested on the right side (for Charkov) you can deduce that he used his right hand to put it there. Doesn't really matter though does it?

It would be more interesting and more intense if the comrades can hear what belikov says after doing a task, like he had to go to a place where no one is around for him to talk, like where he was talking to kravchenko. Idk if it’s just me😂
You're right, that'd really add to the suspense. Maybe Soviets would be asking where their friends went, maybe getting more nosey. Or if you got the challenge where you take out a bunch of guards the investigation gets more intense when you play as Bell.

It make sense because Woods and Mason only encountered Kravchenko in Afghanistan for the first time after the events in Vietnam. Also, Woods escaped captivity in 1972 and the CIA learnt that Kravchenko is alive from Woods. Due to Nova-6 was no longer the threat, Kravchenko is not the priority for the CIA.

I kinda wanted to see what would happen with charkov if we let him live and we didn't drink the poison during the tea time, cause he knew bielekov was the mole but didn't say anything until now
Out of all emissions cold war I would have to say this one by far was my favorite
First attempt on this mission, I went for framing Charkov, it just felt perfect and a way to get the heat off of Belikov

Just go in his room and kill him . You have to silently take out all the patrolling guards on that side then go through"admin" I think it's the room to the left of charcovs go through the door and just stab him :)

No, Belikov's cover is blown no matter what you try to do. If you frame Charkov, you will find that they already pinpointed that restricted communications were coming through Belikov's computer, so they were basically onto him; probably just confirming the information whilst Belikov is sneaking around the building.
Even if you frame Charkov, they probably realize they fucked up and went after Belikov.

With the frame option, I don’t see how they could realize it is fake evidence that fast. I chose to make a new keycard. Belikov wouldn’t have killed his friend if he could avoid it.
Nah he was always under suspicion bc in the poisoning route, when u look at mile investigation, besides belikov and some guy that is missing, everyone is clear but belikov is under investigation
