- Create elegant Christmas tree decor by making these DIY paper cone Christmas trees! in this easy tutorial I'll show you how to create a HIGH END TABLETOP CHRISTMAS TREE ON A BUDGET! I'll cover it in yarn, faux fur, ornaments and gold beads. These trees will be a perfect compliment to any shelf, fireplace mantle or tabletop decor!

DIY Paper Cone Christmas Tree Dimensions
Large: 24 inches high X 12 inches wide at the top sloping down to 14 inches at the bottom
Medium: 18 inches high X 12 inches wide at the top sloping down to 14 inches at the bottom
Small: 16 inches high X 12 inches wide at the top sloping down to 14 inches at the bottom
Roll the poster board into a cone shape and hot glue the seams together. Trim off the excess poster board at the bottom to create an even bottom.

Hi Lisa, I love the faux fur & yarn Christmas trees and they are definitely unique. Wow! $50 & $34 to buy them is a lot. I like the different heights. The yarn did look invisible but that was a great idea to spray paint it. I like the beaded garland on the fur ones. Really beautiful designs & FW. Once again you have developed an expensive elegant look using inexpensive materials. Would never have thought poster board could look so beautiful! I love the fake fur trees but the yarn trees are equally awesome! You could cover the trees in burlap for a farmhouse look or glam them up by wrapping shiny tinsel around them. I bet you could cover the cones with magnolia leaves. The magnolia seed pods add a lovely natural touch to your display.
