Georgia is currently one of the countries with the biggest non-qualification streak in Eurovision. The country last qualified for a Grand Final back in 2016 and since then has always missed it.
Hoping to bring better results for the country, GPB - the Georgian broadcaster - has internally selected former American Idol star, Nutsa Buzaladze, to sing for the nation and has now released the entry, "Firefighter".

Nutsa's a vocal powerhouse, i've been a fan of hers since American Idol and she always impressed me, that girl can siiiing!!! I was thrilled when i heard she's gonna compete for Georgia this year, and i was even more thrilled when i heard the song!! It's a boooop, the beat the instrumentals the vocals everything!! I can't wait to see this live, it has so much potential for a huge performance, she will destroy that stage!! Georgia's finally back in the game 🇬🇪❤️🔥

Wild Dances was Ukraine's entry back in 2004 by Ruslana. Several commenters across RUclips also mentioned it, and the comparison is made in good spirit because Ruslana was probably one of those prominent 2000s entry
