Being a fan of the Seahawks. I still get a knot in my throat when I’m reminded of that Super Bowl loss. Lynch was the best Seahawks player to date. Deserves more recognition than he gets
When Shawn left the Seahawks they assigned his number to another player. They didn't have to retire his number right away, just not use it till it came time. They haven't done anything since, and gave Russell all that big money which he didn't deserve. The Seahawks owner needs to get Carroll & Co out of there.
I still haven't watched a single clip of that interception since. I saw it in the game. I have to fast forward it whenever it comes up.

It never made sense to pass the ball. We all know this. I'm a Seahawks fan who loves DangerRuss, but Beast Mode was at his peak.
I’m 100% convinced that it was to minimize him because of all the pregame media issues
I'll never forget the play in super bowl where the coach didn't give him the ball idiotic play
What makes it even worse (not a seahawk fan) is that Carroll has never just owned it was a bad play call and that the rationale he provides instead makes zero sense. He says it was called because otherwise they couldn’t have ran four plays in the time they had. And that’ll always be dumb to me. If you felt that way then run the ball, use your time out and then if you really think a pass has to happen do it then but rushing into a pass play like they did all to make sure they had time to run a play for every down will always be a terrible rationale to me. It would be better if the dude would just say that it wasn’t the right play call for that down and shouldn’t have been a call unless it actually became necessary. They’d already thrown a fuck ton on that drive to get there and Marshawn had been trucking that game and just had a four yard run. Hard to ever buy that Marshawn doesn’t get that yard and at the worst you can choose that pass on third down and even then maybe you have fourth down to run a last play considering the timeout was there to call if you didn’t get it after second down. If you did need to pass on third down and it’s incomplete you’re not running out of time. But man it’s so much worse when looking at the response from Carroll even nearly a decade later

Marshayn lynch is a good dude as a raider fan i wish he had more success with us but he was not on good teams. I also live in vegas and his dui arrest was a sad thing to see. He own a clothing store here and its sad that with all his money he couldnt take a taxi. But i wish him the best we all make mistakes and believe he is still a good person

As a Seattle fan I haven’t gotten over Carroll not giving the ball to MARSHAWN. Call a pass when MARSHAWN would have gotten that yard needed. Not only did that cost us the Super Bowl win, it broke the spirit of our team, even the defense, and we haven’t been the same since. I hope the football gods forgive us soon for not using our blessing of BEAST MODE.
