I start this Game two days ago with a friend, we both came from Pokemon and both are dissapointet with the new Edition. And we love temtem. We can Team up and Play together, having a lot of fun. I have a bit this feeling back from 1995 (yeah i am pretty old). I like most of the temtems. I didn´t found a single, thats to ugly or spacy (it is a word?) At beginning i wasn´t sure, but after some Minutes in the Game, i can say, its my new Pokemon.
Nintendo is also the reason why bug fixes and patches for this game keeps getting delayed. The devs can't update the game without approval from all platform holders. All platforms are approved almost instantly except for Nintendo who keeps delaying bug fixes by approving them late.
Been 10 years since i had fun with that genre , this dev know what was missing from our childhoods. Game is really good , i have barely nothing negative to say and the only 2 negative point i have are not that bad . Going to play this for a long long time
Ok I am currently soft locked so doing the free Mathew quest I battled the renegade guards after you battle naolin and one of my temtem evovled nid battle and game crashed I go back on finish the battle and all I’m getting is dialogue I’ve already clicked and I’m not getting the item to get Mathew out of prison please fix because this is poor game design
there should be an update tomorrow that will fix those problems (the update has been available for a long time but sadly they can't publish it earlier because unlike Steam, Xbox and Sony, Nintendo actually approved the update late which caused the delay for the release of the bug fixes).
If they made an anime series with a more adult but still funny vibe to it like Arcane and League of a legends it would be a good money move on their behalf

Switch version appears to be a bit buggy due to the hardware limitations give the devs a bit of time they are aware there are bugs and they’re very good at communicating and getting fixes out.

That was some top level criticism... Yes it's online because it was advertised as being an MMO-like pokemon since Kickstarter. And yes, they do ban cheaters. What you are saying makes no sense, it's like people would be complaining that World of Warcraft is not a solo RPG but an MMORPG. As you said, there are tons of Pokemon-like games which are not online so why is it bad that for once, we have one which is online? This something that many people want. Unofficial games like Pokemon Revolution Online are proof of that. And for the Battle Pass, well yes I can understand that some people do not like such feature. But you need to realise, 100% of MMO-like games, free-to-play or not, have either a battle pass, a subscription and/or a shop. Servers are not free to run, this game needs cash to flow in constantly in order to exist. It's not something they invented.

As a free2play title yea sure, thats normal, but the thing is it isnt.
