I have been following this band for some time and as a band mom for another high school band, I love seeing and hearing ALL of the kids perform. I heard many of the spectators yelling for Justin, who is great, but all of those kids are Fantastic!! A band is one unit, it is a team. I hope the other kids know we enjoy watching everyone perform.

I totally agree - I love watching them perform. This is true high school spirit, energy, and hard work. I’m amazed how well they are coordinated and in sequence. Great work darlings! Keep it up and enjoy your youth! I’m 70 years old and watching Justin and all of you perform gets my heart pumping!

Everytime I see this band. I get excited. Reminds me of myself when I their age doing dance, and of course my kids following pursuit. Performing arts of all categories is uplifting.

So good - love watching this band. Vanilla Funk is a special guy but his fellow drum majors, the dancers and the band all show considerable talent as well. How hard they must have worked! Wish someone would make a video introducing us to members of this band and showing some of the behind the scenes stuff. careylc405 is right, Justin is great but we all hope the other guys in the band know how much pleasure they give us with their talent, energy and spirit. I have just discovered this amazing band and I admire how the four guys up front prepare the crowd for the amazingly beautiful girls and super amazing band behind them. They certainly hipe the crowd for an amazing show. I can't find a single thing to say bad about any of these fenominal group of young men and women. Well done to all and WOW, to the coach, and whoop whoop to the one filming that can keep up with this high energy group.

@@justus4685 No, actually you're missing the point. Regardless of how good or bad the band is, Justin is still the head DM, a job he could do with any other band.
In any case, the school has gained attention because it's drum major is basically an anamoly - a white kid. How many other high school drum majors are getting this kind of attention??

Well good for the school for being noticed. This band is extremely talented. You are late to the game because Justin was DM in his junior year. He is a very good DM and talented.

@@niecy123harris5 Nobody is denying his talent. And he may have been head DM since he was a junior, but unless you live in the area, everybody was pretty much in the dark until the viral video and subsequent news coverage.
Hopefully the attention the school has received will result in donations so the band can procure uniforms and instruments.

I always wondered who Killa Kev was. I've seen his version of this march, highly recommend that video. Probably my favorite JD march. Kev is by far the best filmmaker of Bama marches. Keep it up!
