Have seen it, didn't like it. Hope Almodovar gets out of his Mother's complex, simply cause i've got tired of him and this film would've suited better as a miniseries than a film. His films look great, but i wish he cared more about the story (like The Skin i Live In) or the characters, which i didn't. Penélope Cruz might be a gorgeous girl, but she's a fucking awful actress. No expressions, no nuance, just stoic and boring. It's ideology gets in the way of the film and it bothered me. Predictable and skipable.
Masterful filmmaking. One of the years best. Much better and more involving than his last film.

Big fan of Almodóvars past work bit this completely missed the mark for me. In my theater seat I kept on thinking how much rather i'd just watch The Worst Person In The World again. Nonetheless great review!
