My friend bought talisman and it has such a low interior quality, all those weird noises, its like you are being driven in a dacia duster, my audi a6 2010 destroys it in that compartment

What about the auto transmission? Any thoughts?

    • @MihaelTurina

Not OP, but I have a Talisman with that transmission, and it honestly sucks. It's probably the worst part of that car. It lurches forward when you try to move slowly from a standstill, like you would when maneuvering in a parking lot, and if you don't anticipate that lurch and quickly apply more brake pressure, you could hit something. It just doesn't understand the concept of precise movements. When coming to a stop, it tends to disengage the clutch quite suddenly, which means that you stop fairly roughly when the braking force is sharply increased because the engine isn't providing resistance. You can learn to partially mitigate it, but you can never quite eliminate that effect.
The transmission is very lazy and doesn't want to get moving quickly from a standstill, for example, if you are at a red light that just turned yellow, and you floor it, it will take over a second for any power to start getting applied. I thought it's turbo lag, but if you floor it when moving and in fairly low revs, it immediately gets going because it's already in gear and the engine is sufficiently torquey. The kickdown switch is also more harm than good, you will actually get quicker acceleration if you don't fully floor it and activate the kickdown switch than if you do, because downshifting takes so long that it's better to just use the engine's high torque to accelerate in the gear you're already in.
When on a significant incline, it will sometimes roll back when you release the brake, like a manual would. Only after nearly a second will it, quite roughly, engage the clutch and start moving forward. In fact, in many respects, it behaves like a manual, but one you don't have control over. I have no idea why would somebody put a double clutch transmission in the Talisman, but it was a bad decision.
Finally, it only has 6 gears so sometimes it will awkwardly keep the engine at around 1900 RPM because it doesn't want to upshift. I have the 160 HP version of the dCi engine, but the only difference is the addition of a second turbo and tuning, so I think my experiences should be applicable to the 130 HP engine.
The one good thing I can say about the transmission is that it's reliable, mine has slightly more than 200k km, and it hasn't yet developed any issues.
