Is the general perception of him good or bad?
No, it's only the K-pop stans, especially across social media, who like to paint him and his group as villains or some sort of devil incarnate. A lot of bad things that are being said about them are just being taken out of context or straight-up lies. Some were already apologized for long ago and have never been repeated again. The worst thing is that every person who's met them or worked with them always says how good and kind they are, and it's the stan twt, haters, antis, etc. are the ones who always villainize them or treat them like a punching bag just to gain some engagement to their posts. Sure, there may also be some immature things that they did in the past, but character development is the key, and they proved over time that people can indeed change (not all, of course) and mature as we grow older. As for Leeteuk, he's actually the kindest, if not one of the kindest among them, and if you take time to watch some of their interviews or documentaries, you'll learn that there are so many things that he's sacrificed just to get where he is and protect SJ as well as their fans; his kindness even extends to his others, especially in his fellow K-pop idols in SM.
