I'm not sure. But we've got our 500 hour service coming up, which includes a rotor rebalance, so we'll see if things improve. But to be honest, I don't even notice it - possibly the video makes it look worse than it is in real life.
I'm not sure, I guess I'm used to it now. it doesn't feel too bad. remember the stick is physically connected to the rotor, which is rotating at over 300rpm, and holding the gyro up in the air. I'll try and ask my instructor. You hold the stick fairly loosely rather than grip it, so it isn't a problem.
+Andy Drayton I used a cable like this one: www.transair.co.uk/sp+Nflightcam-Cockpit-Video-Camera-GoPro-Hero-3-3-4-Audio-Cable+2043A and connected it between the aircraft, my helmet, and my Go Pro.
"Unless someone screws up. That would never, ever happen with the RAF".... Nooooooooooooo... Never.... I took my UAV training and exams just down there, a couple of miles from RAF Benson and during my OE (flight test), a Merlin came romping in and turned a little late for left-base (given that they were supposed to know that we were there). He very briefly busted my operational area so I had to perform a genuine incursion procedure during my test. Having said that, the instructor was an ex-RAF heli pilot and it was no secret that the Benson guys trolled the instructors and students. My only regret is that I did not have my camera pointing in the right direction to capture it. It would have made for some nice footage to see a honking great Merlin bearing down on my little bird.
+Nick Fortescue Cool. I worked with him in the past. Bit of a legend in my old world. Pass on my hello if you get the chance. Great flying by the way. I fly from Staverton Flying School; working on my PPL, although I'm trying a flexwing microlight this weekend just to see what it's like...
this is really cool
loved the video. Spent many hours at Staverton as a young lad watching planes touch and go with dad. Thanks for sharing.
I guess I'm pretty off topic but does anyone know a good site to watch newly released series online ?
@Yahir Davion Flixportal :)
@Felipe Braylen Thank you, signed up and it seems to work :D I really appreciate it!!
@Yahir Davion happy to help :)
Awesome video!
Brilliant Video. Thanks for posting.
Nick, fantastic to see more videos from you!!
+Plane Old Ben Thanks Ben!
Although you appear to be doing well, you seem to have a constant problem keeping straight and level and tend to have constant right drift . . . . 😎
"Only one way to visit the Jet Museum. By Gyrocopter." LOL.
Just out of curiosity. Is it possible to get the rotor more balanced, so the stick doesn’t rattle so much? That’d drive me nuts.

@@nfortescue oh, well cool then. Thanks for your answer.
Why in this day and age is radio traffic so bad. I couldn't understand half of what was being said.
the stick is shacking so violently , is it typical?

The one I went up in was worse than this one 😂
Hi... How did you record the intercom and radio?

+Nick Fortescue OK ... Thanks for that...

Haven’t a clue what was getting said on the radio
When I saw "cross country" I was like "whooooaaa" , then I saw it was England and like....shouldn't take to long
