      Mr Random Reviews , I found my black 2010 model in 2017 and it had 111,000 miles on it and in immaculate condition. There is a plate on the dashboard that says Property Of Longview. You put out a video about how some police departments paint some of their cars solid black themselves making them into detective models although mine had the cage and bar windows. In the last year I’ve noticed paint chipping off the door trimming clearing exposing white and now under the back door panel. Hopefully I can get a paint marker from Auto Zone and touch it up because the rest of the vehicle is perfect gloss black. Thanks again for your videos. Vics are awesome.

    The anti-theft was aftermarket non-factory; there was no such thing as a "high patrol package." The extended seat belt is a ford part that doesn't come with the car, but it can be ordered at the dealer as an accessory; usually, the officer would go to any dealer and ask for one at the parts counter. The fire suppression system was an option that can be added to any P71; it was option # 60T. The decal on the back windows was added by the department, not from the factory. Dark Mode was also an option for any P71, option # 478. As for the skid plates, that was also aftermarket non-factory. The alternator has always been the same for the P71; it came standard with a 200 amp, no P71 came with anything different from the factory. Remote Start was also an aftermarket non-factory installed by the department. The engine block heater was a factory option; I think it was option 41H. Again there was no such thing as a "high patrol package."

It had the speedometer in Kilo’s & other related markings were French Canadian, at least I think that’s what they use, but we just didn’t think at the time to ask him about the exhaust. I have a CHP Crown vic it really isn't anything special, the only thing that's unique to it would be it's light sand stone interior and the fact that it has carpet and rear cloth seats instead of vinyl. As others have mentioned you have some crazy ideas in this video.

The engine start override you show is aftermarket, Ford did offer a Factory Ignition Override . They were Plug N Play You need to do more research before you do the videos. a lot of false info. They were a well liked car by the police. They almost never over heated unlike the Chevrolets pursuit vehicle cars. Yes the Chevrolets were faster but didnt handle as well. My information came from a Police chief in Idaho.

    • @jrftworth
      @jrftworth 3 года назад

      You were told wrong, and that Chief doesn't know WTF they're talking about. I drove a Crown Vic from 1999 to 2007, and they sucked big time! They overheated easily in the summer, the brakes sucked, the rear end was light which made it easy to spin out, and they accelerated like a turtle from a dead stop.
      The 9C1 Chevrolet Caprice on the other hand, was fast as hell, it DID NOT overheat in 100 degree temperatures, stopped on a dime, accelerated like a rocket and had a 150-160 mph top speed.
      Oh finally, my department switched from Crown Vics to Dodge Chargers with V-6's in 2007, the V-6 Charger made the same amount of horsepower and was significantly faster than a 4.6 liter V-8 Vic.

    The Crown Vic was a piece of shit in every aspect. I drove one for 7 years on patrol and they were the worst patrol vehicle I've ever driven.
    The best police car ever made was the 1994-96 Chevrolet Caprice with the LT-1 engine. The Caprice was the king of the road
