That was the best advice that anyone could give to a novice, absolutely top notch.
I also started out doing woodland camping and bushcrafty stuff, watch a lot of Wiltshireman, still do, also Northeastbushcrafter and Fellwanderer, they tempted me to get out there and do it and I'll never forget that.
What a brilliant hobby we have, Paul, it's cheap compared to my previous days at the football, accompanied by x amount of pints then an Indian and it certainly keeps me fitter!

Just found this channel, and great to see it! I'm planning to begin stealth camping so seeing other UK outdoorsfolk doing so is really useful. That woods looked excellent. I scoped one this morning but it seems like a dog walker's paradise and I'm not sure I could get away with it. I'll continue my scoping. Living in Coventry, I'm just fed up with having to drive hours to national parks and mountains in order to be outdoors - it makes me feel really disconnected from nature and I need to be out camping way more, hence the need to begin stealthing. Apologies for the essay 😅. P.s. I've also found that the types of places that would be great for stealth camping, are also apparently great for after dark adult activities judging by the types of litter lying around in the lay-bys lol. Not sure I want to be mixed up with that particular hobby 🤣.

My dog would have spotted you instantly, the whole reason he ever agreed to go for walks, was hunting out smells, noises and movement. He would stop, and point exactly like a retriever, and if I cared to go look, it would be something insane like a lizard at 20 feet, or a possum sitting perfectly asleep in a tree fifty feet away down wind. He used to be able to hear where a small animal was in long grass. QUITE impossible for us to have walked past without him dashing over to see what you were doing.

Hi Mark..I just saw you with Andy, which reminded me to come and see what you've been doing and I'm really glad that I did because this video was great fun 👍
Stealth camping was not something I ever experienced although I spent time in tents during the dry season in tropical NW and NE Australia when I worked for mining companies.
So I enjoyed watching you and Alan going off-grid ,I nearly fell off my chair laughing at your vivid description of dinner 😂.
Thanks very much for sharing.. more please 😊👍
