DJ, as a former NY resident many years ago, I agree Ghanaians living in NY can leave for other states, but its not that easy for most of them especially those who dont drive.
The big apple (NY) has one of the most robust public transportation system running 24/7- from train to buses, unlike in other states where public transportation is a bit low.
That explains why most Ghanaians find it difficult to leave NY.
With respect to crime in the city, its not new, but I guess it is at a record level now especially given all the influx of people from different backgrounds. I met my near death many years ago between Webster & Fordham road when a dude almost took my life at a bus stop for not giving him a dollar even after showing him my wallet. I had to use a real strategy & tactic to get that dude rather run for his life. From that day, I was like hell no - I got to move out of here ASAP!!
The part she said women today love not because of money had me cracking up....Lol!
Wow, thank God for your life, I just don’t get it- why expose your kids to such an environment and yet feel comfortable cos of money and “Ghanaian society”?
@@Tracey715 Thank you Tracey for your kind comment. Life in NY for most Ghanaians is a whole book to write. You are right about the dangers of raising children in that environment with all these bullets flying over. Sometime last year or early this year, a Ghanaian young girl who was minding her business was killed through drive-by shoot out in Brooklyn. Interestingly, there is a popular apartment building in the Bronx bearing your name, called "TRACEY TOWERS" with 80-90% tenants being Ghanaians....😂😂😂
Attaa Maame is a whole vibe , bronx zongo hemaa papapaa. Eiii filla paa nie
No size❤❤❤
No sensible person with family will live in the Bronx..This village Oseikrom people Dey love Bronx because of funerals, parties and African food
How can you comfortably live in such an area and call that location “ prominent “?
I live in Virginia and it’s peaceful here
Am also in Springfield Virginia very safe
This is why i left the Bronx. I have my peace living in the suburbs PA
New city boroughs are not places to live unless you can afford to live in Manhattan or else move to Upstate NY.
😅😅😅😅, i feel her vibe paaa DJ
Masa, America is the safest country on the planet... Let face it,, how many Ghanaians have been killed by a bullet here ? And moreover if u take 10 neighborhoods, 8 are very safe but if u choose to live in an unsafe area, then its on u, its just like anywhere else
Sometimes it’s not about the money, It’s about the principles
There are many safe places in the Bronx, so i don't understand why people will still live in such areas.
I've lived here for 13 years, and not once did i hear gunshots.
More fire, feeling you from Takoradi, no 9, no 10
My sister, we appreciate your information. However, my small advice to relocate as soon as possible we have 50 states in America. Our children sometimes become what they see around them. I have a boy and a girl . Let’s help our children do better than us, by providing them with a little bit safe environment to grow up. Thank you
I agree
Ataa Maame is blowing it out of proportion. I’ve lived in the UK and US-bronx. Now when you go to UK knife and gun violence is rampant and it’s the USA isn’t exceptional. Canada is said to be safer but recently a Ghanaian was shot dead by stray bullets so nowhere is safe in Europe. Even in Ghana people kill innocent civilians and nothing happens. A whole MP was murdered in his bedroom and this happened in Ghana. What I know is that Ghanaians don’t involve themselves in what results to shootings. The only problem Ghanaians parents have are those that are born here who in high schools gang with friends and genesis to minor challenges aside that nowhere is cool
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂ask me why am stacked over here??? Am addicted to the Ghanaian community
@@ataamametalkshow2262 easy access to Ghana market especially fufu 🤣🤣🤣
Love this woman. She's real.
Oh sad😢
She is exaggerating. I have Cursons living there, and I visit them all the time. NY is 24/7 city with high energy and vibes. When my Cursons come to Virginia they say we live in a countryside/village.
Virginia is best place to live in the state
There is a difference between living there and visiting. Trust me, this is coming from a person who has lived there for 20+ years but thank Allah im no longer living there
@@phyllisakuoko8343Says who??

Oh sad ❤
You also need to remember that children are picking up on all this and learn.

Return to GHANA if you feel threat ?😳😳😳
You are speaking from a place of envy
What do you mean? STOP hating!!
It's just by the grace of God but ghana too has killings going on there so no where cool!!
America is huge, so why stay in such a risky place till something happens?
My dear, this is not praying, start looking for a job and relocate asap. As for this one , I’m not sure if God will listen to such a prayer. There are more serious issues needed to be prayed about not something you need to apply common sense
DJ Nyaame, watching you from JudicIal Service. This interview be feeling..keep up
