I saw a lot of these in the 1990s and 2000s. I usually saw them in the 2000s while watching Nickelodeon.

I think the first time I saw an actual EAS was in 2008 or 2009. I was freaked out lol.
First time I saw one was an amber alert. Bright Red background, black letters. I was 3 and it scared me to death. This is in about 2011.
First time was in around 2013, i was at nanas and in the kitchen, i looked up at the tv and theres the black screen with a tornado warning.
First time I saw one was probably 2012. It was an amber alert. The child was murdered by its abducter. It was a blue screen with white letters. I remember very little if it.
mine was in 2013 when i saw it while watching wallace and gromit on cartoon network. it was a monthly test and it was a blue box with a red border.
First time for me was 2010. That was also the first time I was in a tornado warning.
From green to red to black to (some cable boxes) gray.
dont forget blue with red outline in black background
@@MudkipVideoMaker Mine before I got rid of cable was bright blue with no outline
This video is the only time I've heard EAS tones and didn't feel some sort of dread.
VCR's cant display an eas without a glitch, apparently
No, he made a VHS TV recording, not an actual VHS tape that is like in stores or something.
@@thatpersonwhocommentsevery9181 Plus, not all VHS tapes/recorders can handle the sudden changes on the screen.
The same header kind of affect it along side the scan rate
I think its the sudden changes that mess up the tape
RUclips IS NOT VCR TECHNOLOGY. The error is made in converting media types
if theres one thing i love, its shaky eas screens with not-stable tone notes
This was broadcasted June of 1999.
Incorrect. The alert is from March 17, 1999.
@ oh ok
can you make a playlist of EAS alerts like this one, just the comcast alerts or tests are quite fun
Ive seen one thats funny it had a lady and a bird and she was likeHow about this?Bird turns into eas
Edward wished he could be the eas “drops coin in wishing fountain”
First time I saw EAS was in 2008 and I was scared to go close to the living room
That lady is Betty Furness the Westinghouse saleswoman before she became the spokeswoman for the company in the late-1940s
Also, this is what it looked like during SpongeBob.
VHS era was golden.
When you click the link on the desc, It shows a terminated user
It glitches so much
Those tones sound a little bit off
@Henrystrikesback I think it was just the terrible quality of the EAS alert since it is old
@Henrystrikesback Probably since the date is a little new
@Henrystrikesback maybe
@Henrystrikesback what im trying to say is maybe the vhs was so old being uploaded in 2010s it got glitchy bc its old
