I wanna Thankyou soooo much I bought a pair of Mary Janes specifically for Halloween this year unfortunately I have wide feet wider than regular peeps lol. I was literally ready to ditch the shoes. I did the freezer method and it worked! You’re amazing!!
omg i needed this for mary janes too lol
I’m about to try this in mary janes too?! maybe they’re sold too damn narrow 😂
The information that you just provided me is extremely helpful. Bought a pair of shoes that I simply fell in love with. When I used them the first time around, I just wanted to croak. Thus, I had an alternate pair of shoes with me for the Just In Case. That being said, now that you have literally confirmed things I was taught by my mother, God rest her soul, it is clear to say that she was case on point. Exclusive of utilizing a blow dryer, my Mom taught me all of the above and instructed me to put my shoes on the window sill so that the sun would give them the heat they needed. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But is the ice & hair dryer trick just a temporary solution or permanently?
Thank you!
Great tips! Thanks and love the shoes!
thank you so much! i will try this out but i am positive it will work !!
I've found that out of the ice in a ziplock and the hairdryer method, that the hairdryer works best! Works quickly too. I turn the dryer on high, stick it inside of the shoe for about 30 seconds, put on thick socks, then the shoes for about 10-15 minutes. The shoes are so comfortable afterwards.
Would they go back to their original size?
@@danielle_brooke8978 My experience has been that they will not go back to their original size.
@@Dearest_Kenyetta awsome, thanks!
Hi dear, I hv bought a shoe bt also small, help me can l put the hair dryer inside the shoe or l blow it outside
@@ashyablessed1082 Hello.... Put it inside of the shoe for about 15-20 seconds on high heat. Then put them on with socks and walk around in them for a while. Works every time for me. Try not to wear socks that are too thick because they might stretch your shoes too much.
Tried the "ice hack" last night and had the hardest time getting the bag out today. I had to let it melt a little bit first so I'm not sure if it worked or not, lol
Any update? Ironically we’re both 3 years late to the party here. Haha.
I’m looking for the same solution for my Doc’s and I’m in between sizes. I was thinking of doing the ice method but I’m not sure how well it would do with leather.
@@km_72 the thing is just water freezes up and empty spot near the shoe opening where we put our foot through. I don't think it expands the way we wanted due to water freezing toward weaker pressure against it..if it makes sense.
I have tried multiple, but decided dryer and expand it with my own foot with multiple socks or shoe stretcher is just much better and effective,
CEO of fabulous shoes
And with sneakers?
Do any of these work on suede shoes?
Would it work with frye boots? Bought size 8/5 online yard sale which is my side but tight around the toes
Yes. Love my Frye boots!
fabulous
I used this alcohol method on my brand new leather shoes and almost ruined them. Some of the color came off and blotchy in other areas. This was bad advice.
LOL
Be mindful everyone, this video isn't telling you what type of material you can use these methods on, when it comes to leather, rubbing alcohol or acetone will severely damage your shoes. When buying your correct size sometimes a shoe can be slightly tight if it's leather or suede. I always have a shoe stretch solution in which I take a glove pouring the solution on the hand then rubbing it on the inside of the shoe ( If you can find a small spray bottle that would be even better to keep from dripping the solution and wasting it, some solutions do come in a spray bottle yet when you're stretching a boot that's taller, that might be a little awkward to get to the desired area depending on the size of the bottle) then walk in it, normally works, yet just like a dress when you purchase it, it might need some slight alterations for your perfect fit yet if there isn't enough material, the only thing you can do sometimes is send it back. I've never tried to use shoe stretch solution on any other type of material, if the shoe doesn't fit while I'm in the process of purchasing, I do not buy it, if I order it online and it's not leather and isn't fitting I just send it back, as you do not want to risk damaging something that you can not use so that you will be able to receive back your refund.
Wait so does this technique not work on leather shoes?? How do I stretch leather shoes??
@@gabriellameattray9778 With leather shoes, I always put on a thick sock and heat of the leather with a hair dryer, walk around in them around the house until the leather cools down and it stretches my leather fine (without messing up my leather). You want to be mindful of the thickness of the sock because once the shoes stretches, there is no going back.
I did the ice method. It didn’t work. I also put the shoes in the microwave didn’t work. The only thing that worked was a shoe stretcher from Amazon. I did it for 3 nights and they fit better.
Sorry no room in my freezer 😂😂😂
The hair dryer and a good wooden shoe stretcher works wonderfully. I had to do this with shoes several times while on vacation. The concierge service usually had the shoe stretcher ( thankfully) and I bring my hair dryer. But if you don't use/bring a dryer? The rooms almost always have them in the bathrooms 😊 Thank you for the suggestions. I'm definitely going to try the rubbing alcohol idea.
What can I do with high boots?
Did you get the answer? My high boots are too tight
@@jeswazwadi7049 same, no zip.
Idiotic. Common sense says this will never work. To see how this freezing water idea works try this for example. Fill up a glass jar to overflowing. Seal it with the top. Put it in the freezer. Then as the ice expands there is nowhere for the ice to go. It would then most definitely break the glass. Punch out the metal lid. The bag you put in your shoe is not rigidly contained and will not stretch anything. Not even the plastic bag. Don’t waste your time.
Are these methods for permanent effect? I have knit running shoes with Velcro straps that go over the ankle and they are so tight that my circulation gets cut off while wearing them
Got knit as well, would love to know
KJ I love your profile pic.
@@eljuniorcen2675 Thank you
Does this work to stretch them out lengthwise? Or only width. You didn’t say.
I just tried it, with socks it will stretch all the way around, length and width. I'm trying to figure out what I can stuff into the shoe in front of my toes to stretch just the length some more.
@@CalynnA try stuff the whole entire shoe with something then use the blow-dryer on the outside
My booties won’t even zip up my ankle. What can I do??? They are the Betsey Johnson Casy booties with the rhinestones. Please help.
Did you find a solution for this? I also have the same problem. I dont know how to return the shoes coz i bought them from when i went abroad right before lockdown. I just found out that it was half inch too small for me.😭
Theyre leather gabrielle chanel boots.
Can I use 50% rubbing alcohol
Will this work on Air Force ones? Just got pair but new they always to be broken in
تشکر از اموزش شما.دوست بسیار زیبا❤
I applied rubbing alcohol directly to the parts of the shoe that were binding me the most and the improvement was almost immediate! Within a few hours I have a pair of shoes I can be delighted to wear now. This was great advice.
Thank you so much for the advice.
Just tried this definitely helped right away wasn't as right loosened up
My shoes are faux leather I'm afraid that will ruin them.
I think the sweating foots put it wider & big no doubt but it had to be rubber like crocs & yezzy foam runners when is that type material on this video the method damage it!
I bought beautiful leather boots yesterday and they fitted while i put them on with thick socks so i thought it would be fine without walking on them and the next day i wore them and toes are killing me!!! Idk what to do!
VERY CUTE BOOTS!!!👢 THANKS FOR SHARING!!!😊👍🏾
Just asking would frezzing method ,cause the boots to rip
Linda Seenath mines did not
I did the ice method and it works. I get a little bit more stretch from them. People who say it didnt work may have gotten just way too small of a shoe. I got brand new work shoes and wanted them a bit broken in before my next shift. did the ice method and I got a little bit more room. I think this method works great a new shoes. if you are trying to stretch out old shoes they prob already to worn
Did you cover your shoe so it didn't freeze? Or did you just put your shoe in the freezer?
@@murk959 I did cover it with another zip lock over the 2 shoes
Nd long shoe solution? Plss upldd video...
today i bought shoes on sale and just thought i needed to wear them in. at home i realize that on one of them the sole and the shoe itself have different sizes (1 size different). i think im eather going to freeze it or try the hair drying method. thanks :)
I'm going to try both of them and I'll let you guys know later
Oh and it also damages the shoes so thanks! or NOT!
Me: *walking around trying the rubbing alcohol tip*
did it work?
@@trish8417 nope :(
Where can I find those shoes? 😍
One Good Thing by Jilly Thank you for the informative video!
Thanks
I hope this applies to rubber/plastic material like crocs
What plant is behind you ?
looks like a faux fiddle
Thank you so much for this. Xx. I hope it works.
Cute shoes Jillee, I'd have been bummed too if I couldn't wear them!☺️👍
Does the hair dryer method work on vegan leather boots
I can't think why it wouldn't.
@@byjillee LOL
Perhaps overdone with the ice water method somewhat as you have opened the seam up thus exposing the stitching/thread on the right boot. Maybe it would have best to get/use shoe stretchers.
So pretty
I tried the shoes with the water put in the freezer and I'm telling you it category DID NOT WORK!
Did it brake them?
I have a pair of dance boots and the vet front crunch my toes, they fit fine except I have wide feet and long toes and they are very narrow in the front. I need them stretched (?)
She calls those fabulous .... bro those ugly
DUDE STOP ALWAYS SAYING FABULOUS AFTER SHOES EVERY TIME JUST SAY THE SHOES
Or stop being a cringelord complaining about some random ass youtube video lmfao go touch some grass
buy shoes that fit
If you purchase them online and they're your size they may be tighter than you expect. I wear size 12 and just bought size 12 Jordans online, yet the toes are a slightly tight.
I wish, my right foot always bigger and tighter fit for shoes. Left is perfect with a size 9 men, Right is too tight. I have to use a shoe stretcher for the right lol
@@tyv1383 this comment was two years ago but i did try this method and it did work. thank you
