Too high, but it's not crazy. Coaching, not on-the-field talent, was Florida's problem the past few years. If the kid who transferred from Georgia Tech, at quarterback, is really good, the Gators are at least an 8-4 or 9-3 team this upcoming season.
@austinking3927I don't think all of those Iowa State players are going to make a successful jump to the Big Ten, but Penn State only needs about half of them to hit. Have you seen Penn State's schedule? Lol. It's a joke. If they just beat all the mid teams, they should go 8-4. 9-3 is a possibility, and 10-2 isn't crazy, if they get a few breaks and pull an upset.
@jamescarter2059they had the top offensive line, a QB who was in talks of being a heisman finalist and a great defensive line and won 4 games. All of which are now gone now. How are they better as far as talent 🤣
The biggest problem with this poll as with all others in this age of the transfer portal and significant coaching changes is that unless you actually observe what is going on and how those pieces are or are not coming together you have no clue as to what their chances are going to be in the season. All this poll does is look at past performances, next year’s schedule, and program reputation. Just about every fan except for those in the top ten probably thinks their team is ranked too low with a few exceptions. It’s not hard for any decent fan of the game to pick top ten . Doesn’t take spreadsheets or a football genius. The next ten are perennial favorites as well. Did this poll pick Indiana to win the championship? Don’t think so. Good for talk just like every other poll and maybe the guy puts in more effort than simply polling homers but any poll before the fifth or sixth week is pure guesswork.
@Donttreadonanyone89Clearly I do. I just used the word “poll” for consistency though this ranking uses available statistics and forecasts performance based on several different data points. So what did I say about the inaccuracies of any predictor of performance before the first game is played and before most team’s starting lineups or depth charts have even been established that is untrue? You betting your mortgage on this ranking?
You're not an Ohio State fan. Returning: (1) Heisman trophy finalist QB who led nation in completion percentage; (2) two of three top WRs, one of whom is arguably the best player in college football; (3) 1,000 RB; and (4) 7 out of 8 top offensive linemen. Brought in multiple players in the portal, including: 3 defensive lineman, 3 defensive backs, and 2 TEs. Other starters or near-starters (e.g., Houston) are returning. Some backups will make jumps this year (always happens at Ohio State), and some players from a top-5 recruiting class are already turning heads and figure to contribute. Number 1 in the SP rankings, and number 3 in 247's 2026 Overall Football Team Rankings. Go Bucks!!!
@nateanglin6584 we probably are #1, I mean look at that roster. Indiana had their greatest season ever and barely beat an average season buckeye type team 13-10. That schedule will battle test us for the playoffs
Curious to see how my Sun Devils do this year away games @Tech@A@M @UA and @BYU is a grind house of an away schedule. Getting the Aggies after we have a game in London feels bad especially since teams historically in the Big12 preform bad after those trips across the pond. we have a lot of weapons and upgrades at some key positions but shesh that road schedule once again feels like it may be rough. Regardless DILLYDILLY
as a clemson fan it might sound biased but if dabo and the boys in orange lock we could 100% have a run similar to the ones we went on around a decade ago
I think the reason why they have the latter half of the big ten teams so far down is because they need to include other conferences? To me the top 12-15 is what matters. The other half of the top25 is just a fill in based on politics and perception of certain conferences while still having some parity in conference representation
@Fre@Fre@FredPitre-o4bent on defense? Have you seen their portal class? They’ve upgraded pretty much every position they lost guys at. The only question mark is how will they cope without Princewill Umanmielen, who was your leader in sacks with 9, but more than likely Sunterine Perkins will move back to edge where he had 10.5 sacks in 2024. Not to mention they added other good edges like Blake Purchase from Oregon to help replace that production. You also upgraded your linebackers and safeties, while retaining guys like Will Echoles who’s a consensus top 3 D-Lineman in the country. I just don’t see how that defense doesn’t take a step forward from last year.
@samsmith4902You did lose plenty guys at plenty positions. om LOST 11 of most productive (total tackles) off the defense. Lost SEC leader in tackles. Lost team leader in sacks and TFLs. Lost ONLY 2 defenders with multi INTs. NOT all portal gets are an upgrade. Remember those TWO 5*s from LSU in '25 portal class? That cat that does the ESPN SP+ ranking not that impressed with om defense heading into '26. Has them at #25 in the country. Same dude has LSU with #2 defense in the country.
They dropped off in the portal. Stop using 24/7 volume weighted. Use on3 which measures net player talent in and net player talent out. They were also 30th+ in recruiting by player rating. They are mid in returning starters and production. 🤷♂️ thinking Golding is the same evaluator as Kiffin and the staff he took with him to LSU. Gonna get the same offensive brilliance ? Ehhhhhh Lots of questions.
I think it looks good. Interesting to see South Carolina and Florida in the top 25. This coming from an SEC fan, I think Huston and OK State are going to be much better than their current ranking.
LSU as well.. they are ranked due to kiffen and his social bs. They lost there whole online, QB, half of D, and lost THier Bowl game? But still ranked???
You're right, but also the Big 12 needs to do better against SEC and Big10 teams in the Playoffs. Unfortunately, it's a money and pride thing, most likely, as to your quite valid point.
@SurferRC Point taken my dude, but they don't perform when they need to. They get CRUSHED. And that breaks my heart (like I said, I actually like Tech).
All that matters is the top. We end up with 1 champion, not a trophy for league depth. Also, if the SEC is so deep, how come they have gotten messed up out of conference for the last 3 years?
Agreed. I'm not a Canes fan. Imma USC guy. I think Mensah puts the Canes over the top this year, and they win it all. College football is always better when Miami and USC, the only blue-blood programs in major cities, are elite.
12 is a fair spot. Barring yet another Chokelahoma disaster, Sooners have shown great improvement and found ways to win double digits last season despite all the doubt. Could be the year. But likely still figuring things out if we don’t figure out our Oline crisis.
Out of all of these 25 teams, there is two teams ranked that didn't even make a bowl game last year. Anybody want to guess what conference those teams are from?? There's also two other teams that barely won six games, one of which is the color of an old dried-up Cheeto that's well past its prime. And the other is going to be unjustifiably ranked throughout the year because they have a cakewalk schedule where they at maximum will face three good teams.
Yea we are one of them . But . We are gping to run the table this year. Money on NOTRE DAME. Let's go IRISH . We got screwed last year and this year yall getting no lube
So...SEC still gets the benefit of the doubt? Seeing how bowl season finished out last year, I'm not convinced that middle tier SEC teams are objectively better than the middle B1G teams.
I'm surprised Fanduel put Texas Tech ahead of Ole Miss and Bama. I like Tech but I don't think they'd get past those two teams if they put on the no show like they did against Oregon. I also think OU might just scrape past A&M in terms of a game (but we'll see), so yeah, I'd put OU at least at the last on the list, leave Tech out, and there you go. I just can't see the Big 12 winning right now. Not good enough on Defense or muscle at all.
Funny we all see where they rank ND now . Yall getting the smoke this year. Last year you wanted to hate NOTRE DAME. This year, you will have no choice but to hate us running the table❤😂 i can not wait for this season.
I like that Bill Connelly knows the returning talent at Georgia is for real. And next year, will be even better if even just a few stay for their senior year.
I’m so happy Texas isn’t ranked one this preseason as a Texas fan. I think we are pretty stacked but the pressure of being even top 5 sucks tbh I’d rather prove we are top 5 by beating Ohio state
Everyone has over 30 transfer portal people the last 3 years so any of those rankings of classes is just bad data into the systems. A lot of those players who left didn't pan out.
I wish somebody would just give Notre Dame a national championship, then maybe everyone would stop putting them in the top 5 or 10 every year . I mean damn , how many decades has this been going on now ?
Man I want Navy in lol So is ND actually that talented? I don’t keep up with them. I get the easy schedule but this is power ratings right? Genuine question, not throwing shade. And Louisville over Clemson? Maybe???
With recruiting and portal, ND had the #2 overall roster. Probably a Heisman contender at QB. They recruited four 5-stars and picked up a couple more in the portal at WR. ND's secondary is going to be ridiculous. They really don't have a weakness anywhere.
Are you kidding me my dude. The Fighting Irish are basically returning their entire defense, have killed it in the transfer portal, and have a pretty decent QB named CJ Carr.
We just experienced the same nonsense in March madness. SEC should have never had 10 teams in and trying to complain for the likes of Auburn to get in.
Ole reliable “never does anything” Mizzou in their yearly token 20-25 spot. Every year they start there and after losing a couple games they keep floating in and out of the top 25 until eventually they finish in the 20-25 range again and make a bowl game until it’s time to repeat all over again next year
Georgia should be #1 and OSU #2. The Dawgs have so many of their players coming back including last years QB and RB. They have an easy schedule this year and yep they still have Kirby!! The Buckeyes have talent everywhere as usual but that schedule is too much.
It's a power ranking; it's not a poll. Ohio State has many of its players returning, especially on offense. The defense is losing some starters, but they lost more in 2024 and still went on to have the best defense in college football again. Their D will be really good again this year, partly because of their portal haul.
These polls in March are just click bait because most of these teams haven't had a scrimmage yet. However, it makes sense in a way. The B1G is a very VERY top heavy conference. They may win it all since the talent in concentrated in a just a few teams so it makes sense they are set up to win a Natty. The SEC has more talent than all them other conferences combined ... just check the recruiting rankings over the last 5 years ... but it's spread out across the conference which makes each Saturday "SEC Day". The SEC has so many teams with talent that play each and every week, Saturday turns into a slobber-knocker fight fest for half of the conference. Basically, if you want to watch the national champs watch the B1G. They only play a few good teams but it's fun to watch them score 1,000,000 points against weak conference opponents. If you want to watch what is basically NFL-Lite watch the SEC each weekend. There will always be a tough games for most of the conference. Is it August yet?
the sec is 1/3 old B12 teams and aside from 2 teams that pay for everything Georgia and Bama they rule the sec...so nope the talent lays everywhere but the sec..
Recruiting rankings are just where people think a player is going to do when they get into college. The issue is the players in the teams your talking about right now have about 30-35 players leave their rosters every year for another team in the portal. This means that draft class you think is so good and highly ranked is just not there and the talent is spread out more evenly around college football. A large part of those highly touted players also don't pan out. This is why Bama isn't Bama anymore since they don't have 3 top 25 teams worth of players on the roster to just plug and play until one of the 4-5 years worth of players they stacked pans out. If that team doesn't play that great freshman player at the start of the year they are leaving the next season. The middle of the B1G isn't as bad as people think because they just went 5-1 against the SEC this past year in the bowl games. A HUGE part of that perception is past bias towards the SEC as well as UCLA firing their head coach in the middle of the year and then tanking the 3 next teams they played because they actually had the players trying their hardest in systems that were tweaked to play to their strengths instead of making players conform to the system. That is also why Penn State was bad last year because the defensive coordinator wouldn't change his system to help do things like spy on mobile QBs because his system is supposed to be superior to any offensive system and doesn't need to change. My biggest issue in these power ratings is that the worst of the SEC which isn't quite as bad as the worst in the B1G but it also shouldn't be as highly rated as they are at just because they play a team that is really fringe top 25 close in a game that is a home game.
How the heck is TT red raiders at 7 even Florida can beat them who did they play Last year and who will they play this year I live in Lubbock and have all my life
Can't speak for the gumps BUT LSU '26 roster is loaded. Just took best offensive mind in SEC/college from a bitter rival. Took their entire offensive staff too. Added to an already elite defensive staff.
So the Big ten wins the championship, and wins almost every bowl game against SEC schools, but the SEC is deeper, even though the rankings obviously didn't pan out when it came to bowl performance. It doesn't make any sense.

Josh what time does your show start live so I can respond to something in real time?
Would love to hear why ND is ranked that high. I know they recruit well, but they lost what 70% of their production.
@ChillPanda2 schedule
@FredPitre-o4bmakes sense
Notre Dame should be 10
How is south Carolina & mizzou always in the top 25
If you have a pulse in the SEC, the biased college football media will basically grandfather you into the top 25 lol.
To boost up the sec. As long as they have a lot of top rankings it helps out there strength of schedule
No clue we suck (sc)
@joszefprince189*their
To boost the resume of the SEC
Why are Clemson & SC ranked? We both suck 🤣
How in the world is Florida ranked 19 lmao
Same with Penn State at 17
Too high, but it's not crazy. Coaching, not on-the-field talent, was Florida's problem the past few years. If the kid who transferred from Georgia Tech, at quarterback, is really good, the Gators are at least an 8-4 or 9-3 team this upcoming season.

That's likely what the rankings for the new CFB 27 game will be
Wonder how the SEC 9 conference games will do
Imagine a world where there are no cfb polls until October. Ahhh, bliss
I wish.....
Why does it matter?
Or ever. Win your conference, you’re in the CFP. Random seeding. Line it up and play.
Boring
@kevinbond8966TV ratings
Another preseason ranking with Florida and Missouri in it, just for them to be bad again
ESPNs rankings mean about as much as the sh*t I took this morning 😂
Duck fan here. Why is Miami out of the top 7 but Texas tech is in it?
Look at the Tech schedule. That should give you your answer.
@NativeTexancookies. But that shouldn't give them a higher rank until Miami loses a game. Overall Miami is a better team IMO.
I agree Miami should be up there!
Exactly these odds don’t mean anything they don’t know real football
@gian-lucbrasseur207exactly
I love seeing my Gamecocks ranked, but have to say I'll believe it when I see it.

Clearly you dont know how this ranking works. It's not a poll
@Donttreadonanyone89Clearly I do. I just used the word “poll” for consistency though this ranking uses available statistics and forecasts performance based on several different data points. Buckeyes are my team but they should be behind the rest of the top 5. They should be 5. Indy is defending champs so should get benefit of the doubt.
I disagree with defending champs always being #1 to start. They are not the same team, either was we.
You're not an Ohio State fan. Returning: (1) Heisman trophy finalist QB who led nation in completion percentage; (2) two of three top WRs, one of whom is arguably the best player in college football; (3) 1,000 RB; and (4) 7 out of 8 top offensive linemen. tOSU has the hardest schedule in the country. Hands down. We’ll earn by the end if we truly are number 1.
@nateanglin6584 we probably are #1, I mean look at that roster. Indiana had their greatest season ever and barely beat an average season buckeye type team 13-10. That schedule will battle test us for the playoffs
as an LSU fan i dont want to start ranked that high. Let people sleep on us.
Don’t worry they will when y’all start playing 😂. I’m jk, I think Kiffn can turn things around, not sure in year 1 though
@Buckifan127oh yah. I'm not naive to think we are guaranteed anything. Competing for playoffs and I'll be happy this yeat
“ACC is not a winnable conference with Miami there” Duke and Virginia would like a word😂
Curious to see how my Sun Devils do this year away games @Tech@A@M @UA and @BYU is a grind house of an away schedule. Miam 8 come on.
This is hilarious 😭😭😭😭
It'll look drastically different week 2
South Carolina, Florida, and Penn State all being ranked are interesting choices.
PSU's schedule is a cake walk. Wouldn't be shocked if they were top 10 and/or in B1G Championship game.
Interesting to see 3 Big 12 teams, it is good to see high expectations for Big 12 teams.
Putting ND ahead of UT is just a sign of stupidity not reality
@eddcurry501based on what? ND is as talented as Texas and has an easier schedule.
Too bad the big 12 is a dei conference
@Yourmomma69420 Perhaps, but at least our conference champ qualified for the playoffs.
You would think ESPN would have learned something from last season. What a joke!
Would rank SMU and Louisville easily over UF and SC as a Miami fan lol. Wish UF or SC was on our schedule this year.
Not the same uf team duh learn sports
@Boog87y’all garbage lol
Uva too
@Boog87ptolly worse
Look I am here for him to talk about Miami
as a clemson fan it might sound biased but if dabo and the boys in orange lock we could 100% have a run similar to the ones we went on around a decade ago
Is Tennessee just perpetually going to be ranked around 15 for the entirety of Heupels career?
I think the reason why they have the latter half of the big ten teams so far down is because they need to include other conferences? To me the top 12-15 is what matters. The other half of the top25 is just a fill in based on politics and perception of certain conferences while still having some parity in conference representation
Not having ole Miss in at least the top 15 after Trinidad’s coming back is insane 😂
Ranking is based on SP+ numbers for '26. Don't matter om NOT that good. LOST a bunch of talent ESPECIALLY on defense.
@Fre@Fre@FredPitre-o4bent on defense? Have you seen their portal class? They’ve upgraded pretty much every position they lost guys at. They were also 30th+ in recruiting by player rating.
They are mid in returning starters and production.
🤷♂️ thinking Golding is the same evaluator as Kiffin and the staff he took with him to LSU. Gonna get the same offensive brilliance ? Ehhhhhh
Lots of questions.
@samsmith4902
Wrong. Stop using 24/7 to look at portals. It’s a bad measurement. On3 is far superior.
Surprising to see Utah there w/out Whittingham at the helm.
He says, this is a reputable guy... all of us wondering what the hell are we seeing 😂
I think it looks good. Interesting to see South Carolina and Florida in the top 25. This coming from an SEC fan, I think Huston and OK State are going to be much better than their current ranking.
Hopefully so with OK state, they need to bounce back.
😂😂😂
I'd like Oklahoma to be a little bit higher but that's fair, got to see how much Jon has improved
How they gonna switch ohio state and ou red colors. I'd be so pissed if they were to do that with tn tex
Missouri Florida and South Carolina have no business being ranked they need to stop doing that for the SEC man
LSU as well.. they are ranked due to kiffen and his social bs. They lost there whole online, QB, half of D, and lost THier Bowl game? But still ranked???
No PSU
Michigan will beat OSU this year.
Have you been to spring camp or have any roster knowledge about all 3?
Or tenn or bama or lsu
I think this might be the year when we se USC take a step forward
I am having a life or death situation, why isn't obscure tech ranked :(
Watch out for those WVU Mountaineers this year. Im telling ya they are gonna surprise ya
Before everyone freaks out, this is your reminder that the SEC has a tv deal with ESPN. That should answer your questions… it’s not rocket science.
Thank you 🙏🏾 I was about to say the same they’ve been in bed together forever big ten ran the show and was dominating the bowl games 👍🏾
You're right, but also the Big 12 needs to do better against SEC and Big10 teams in the Playoffs. Unfortunately, it's a money and pride thing, most likely, as to your quite valid point.
@MrZaboomafooacc went 8-6 vs sec they are the better league
@SurferRC Point taken my dude, but they don't perform when they need to. They get CRUSHED. And that breaks my heart (like I said, I actually like Tech).
Mizzou every year in top 25 is hilarious.
Yup and sc and uf and tenn and lsu…
Miami below Texas and Texas tech is wild.
Absolutely insane.
Miami is reloaded. Absolutely nuts!
@FLA1845😂😂😂😂. Miami didn’t reload anything. Miami won’t be in the playoffs this year. I’m sorry to tell you
@ronlg😂🤡
How is South Carolina even in the top 100
All that matters is the top. We end up with 1 champion, not a trophy for league depth.
Also, if the SEC is so deep, how come they have gotten messed up out of conference for the last 3 years?
Im a michigan fan why are they 14...top 25 yeah around 20 though honestly
Love to see Miami always catchin some shade let it ride cause the canes comin for it all this year! 🙌
Who?
@Jarrettchase The team that kicked OSU, TAM, and Old Miss's ass in the playoffs, sans Indiana, and was NC runner up. Do you watch college football?
Agreed. I'm not a Canes fan. Imma USC guy. I think Mensah puts the Canes over the top this year, and they win it all. College football is always better when Miami and USC, the only blue-blood programs in major cities, are elite.
@Sam66305 That team will not play in 2026. Most of its best players will be playing in the NFL. Do you understand college football?
@C21-hv8chI still don't think people realize what Mario been doing Miami is stacked this your team is going to be better
How do you put the reigning champs who got more talented, 5th? But love the doubt and cig loves the fuel! Go Hoosiers
Got more talent but lost a ton to the draft.
As Buckeye fan, I question us being ranked #1. Food for thought, if Jeremiah smith is not on our team, are we #1 still? Probably not.
12 is a fair spot. Barring yet another Chokelahoma disaster, Sooners have shown great improvement and found ways to win double digits last season despite all the doubt. Could be the year. But likely still figuring things out if we don’t figure out our Oline crisis.
0-5 playoffs is rough
We have too much turnover to be 1 but we all know how useful preseason rankings are.
@jmoney4435actually the team I was talking about was Penn State, have you seen their schedule?
It does my heart good to see Virginia Tech nowhere near this list.
They're a sleeper. Don't be shocked if Franklin goes 8-4 or 9-3 in his first season. The ACC isn't all that great outside of Miami.
So...SEC still gets the benefit of the doubt? Seeing how bowl season finished out last year, I'm not convinced that middle tier SEC teams are objectively better than the middle B1G teams.
Acc>sec if head to head matters anymore
Bill Connelly - Ball Knower
I'm surprised Fanduel put Texas Tech ahead of Ole Miss and Bama. I like Tech but I don't think they'd get past those two teams if they put on the no show like they did against Oregon. I also think OU might just scrape past A&M in terms of a game (but we'll see), so yeah, I'd put OU at least at the last on the list, leave Tech out, and there you go. I just can't see the Big 12 winning right now. Not good enough on Defense or muscle at all.
Thank you for ranking OU at 12. They thrive on fighting the masses from under dog status.
And they play 8 teams ranked in this top 25.
Julian sayin and Jeremiah smith. Can’t mention the other without why wouldn’t the other win the heisman
Feels like 2005 USC 2.0
Funny we all see where they rank ND now . Yall getting the smoke this year. Last year you wanted to hate NOTRE DAME. This year, you will have no choice but to hate us running the table❤😂 i can not wait for this season.
Comedy GOLD! Penn State even making the list is HILARIOUS! Ohio #1? Likely won't even win the B1G. 😀
That is an absolutely ridiculous top 25 😂
LSU at 10 is such a reach what the heck
9 conference games are going to change some things.
Big 12 has always had 9.... the others are just joining
Alabama has huge questions on offense.
I like that Bill Connelly knows the returning talent at Georgia is for real. And next year, will be even better if even just a few stay for their senior year.
I’m so happy Texas isn’t ranked one this preseason as a Texas fan. I think we are pretty stacked but the pressure of being even top 5 sucks tbh I’d rather prove we are top 5 by beating Ohio state
Texas will be a top-5 team in the actual rankings, and will likely be ahead of Ohio State (not that I would agree with that).
Honestly, I think I’d actually prefer my Gamecocks NOT to be ranked at all
Sp+ existed before JP poll. They ain’t trying to be like your poll.
I'll take #15
I agree with OSU being 1, but these are so hard with the transfer portal. OSU has like 51 new players, so who knows
Everyone has over 30 transfer portal people the last 3 years so any of those rankings of classes is just bad data into the systems. A lot of those players who left didn't pan out.
Notre Dame and Texas always get ridiculous media kudos.
I wish somebody would just give Notre Dame a national championship, then maybe everyone would stop putting them in the top 5 or 10 every year . I mean damn , how many decades has this been going on now ?
Man I want Navy in lol
So is ND actually that talented? I don’t keep up with them. I get the easy schedule but this is power ratings right? Genuine question, not throwing shade.
And Louisville over Clemson? Maybe???
Yes, probably ND’s best all around roster since early 90’s Lou Holtz days.
With recruiting and portal, ND had the #2 overall roster. Probably a Heisman contender at QB. They recruited four 5-stars and picked up a couple more in the portal at WR. ND's secondary is going to be ridiculous. They really don't have a weakness anywhere.
ESPN is way off
Coming from a bama fan, I promise you that Auburn will be (minimum) top 15 by mid season
LSU ranked to high to be that unproven everywhere
Don't be surprised when LSU starts SEC 1-0. Hit bye at 7-1 and post thanksgiving 10-2.
Watch out for Arizona State. Sleeper pick!!!!!!!!!!!
South Carolina and Florida need to get out of the top 50😂
How is Miami behind ND?
Better roster
Are you kidding me my dude. The Fighting Irish are basically returning their entire defense, have killed it in the transfer portal, and have a pretty decent QB named CJ Carr.
@Debo744which means nada 😂did you watch indiana? They didnt even have a top 50 ranked roster 🤡🤦🏼♂️
Man, Clemson is really way down in this model
I like Louisville ACC champs
They will probably choke like they always do.
How is Miami ranked 8 when we beat the 1 and 3 And played in the natty? They always be hating on the U though so I’m not surprised.
Because Notre Dame is basically returning their entire defense, have killed it in the transfer portal, and have a decent QB named CJ Carr.
We just experienced the same nonsense in March madness. SEC should have never had 10 teams in and trying to complain for the likes of Auburn to get in.
Espn gotta pay their sec bills
Good Lord, you own L. Kienholz an apology for how you pronounced his name!
How much did Tennessee pay to be that far up ? Lol
Where’s Baylor
Ole reliable “never does anything” Mizzou in their yearly token 20-25 spot. Every year they start there and after losing a couple games they keep floating in and out of the top 25 until eventually they finish in the 20-25 range again and make a bowl game until it’s time to repeat all over again next year
Miami has the ACC tied up? The same team that lost to Louisville and SMU - wins/losses on the field matter.
Yeah I know. You just know we are about to go crazy the next several years. Playoffs or bust every year.
I love how they always meat ride Oregon as if they’re ever gonna win 😂😂😂😂
I think SMU is a threat. They spend a bunch of money. They're in the ACC so that is doable.
I mean I guess SEC has depth, until that depth plays the B1G in bowl games 🤷🏻
Or the acc
How is South Carolina ranked after prob the most disappointing season in school history
BILL KNOWS BALL 🗣️⭕️h
Georgia should be #1 and OSU #2. The Dawgs have so many of their players coming back including last years QB and RB. They have an easy schedule this year and yep they still have Kirby!! The Buckeyes have talent everywhere as usual but that schedule is too much.
It's a power ranking; it's not a poll. Ohio State has many of its players returning, especially on offense. The defense is losing some starters, but they lost more in 2024 and still went on to have the best defense in college football again. Their D will be really good again this year, partly because of their portal haul.
So basically the ACC has turned the grouo of 5 into the group of 6 !!!
Acc>sec 8-6…
This isn't a poll; it's a power ranking.
All of that espn contract, great games but no natty
@jbjohnson4728its propaganda
Have we not learned the B1G10 is also better in the middle of the conference? Hence 3 Straight playoffs and bowl seasons?!...
How the heck is TT red raiders at 7 even Florida can beat them who did they play
Last year and who will they play this year I live in Lubbock and have all my life
polls should be outlawed till week 4
It's not a poll; it's a power ranking.
@jbjohnson4728its propaganda
No Virginia tech is a tad surprising !
Bama and LSU are highly ranked for reasons unknown 😂
Can't speak for the gumps BUT LSU '26 roster is loaded. Just took best offensive mind in SEC/college from a bitter rival. Took their entire offensive staff too. Added to an already elite defensive staff.
Gotta pay attention to teams other than your own to understand
And uf and lsu and sc and mizzou and tenn…
This is just a top 25 money machines and popularity contest
This league has never been about talent.... only how much money they can bring in
ESPN gotta pay that $2 billion deal 😂 what a horrible list
So the Big ten wins the championship, and wins almost every bowl game against SEC schools, but the SEC is deeper, even though the rankings obviously didn't pan out when it came to bowl performance. It doesn't make any sense.
Acc is deeper too 8-6 bs sec
