Thanks for the video! I'm stuck on the part where you first add copies of your webcam. Windows doesn't allow me to access the cam through more than one source so it doesn't show on the screen like it does in the video. I tried using a source clone instead but I can't do background removal on a clone. Any idea where I went wrong? Thanks!
@@atomsmasher101 This is a common issue with some webcams and the way they communicate with windows. There are also several work arounds. The simplest will be to create 2 new scenes. Call 1 "cam bg" and the other "cam fg" inside the cam bg scene add your webcam full screen, nothing else. In cam fg scene, you can do your background removal, source clones etc. Once it's all done make a 3rd scene. Add 2 existing scenes as sources (cam bg and cam fg) should give you the same effect. Alternatively, you can record your webcam's feed with nothing in it (you and your chair) to get the background of your webcam view, and take a screenshot. Use the image as camBg instead of an actual video source. It just wont look as good if you move your camera around.
@@thebravadogaming Ahh, I gotcha. Yes, you can, in most cases. Some virtual cameras and other non-webcam camera sources won't work particularly well when the filters are applied to their clones, though. While few it is still possible, so just test it and see what works best!
@@thebravadogaming One of the things I love most about effects and outputs like these is that there is usually more than a few ways to accomplish them, no matter your set up or limitations.
@@cowbanchalam9725 Yeah, said if your webcam won't show in multiple sources on the same scene, you can use the source clone as the foreground camera, and clone that clone for the effect.
Thank you for making this video! =)
Thanks for watching!

@@beardedink Thank you for your thorough response. I will give it a shot!
@@atomsmasher101 of course! Let us know how it goes!
cool
Great videos. Just a quick question, why not source clone?
Thanks for the comment. Allow me to answer your question with a question. What do you mean? I do use source clone here.
@@beardedink instead of multiple instances of the camera, what about using source clone for each? Wouldn't that lessen resouce use?

@@beardedink I get it now. I didn't think about those that don't like to play with the source clone.

wonder where my innocuous comment/question went?

@@cowbanchalam9725 no. I replied to it as well
