My locs match my texture perfectly! But I have seen people who get locs that don't match..I think it's important to do the research beforehand since it is an such a big investment and commitment.
Low porosity cause the hair cuticles to close tight which is actually repelling moisture ..high porosity can take in a lot of moisture and let it flow through without any retention. So I advised people with low porosity hair to deep condition first before putting oil on it..but low porosity does needs oil cuz it tends to just sit on the hair without actually going into the strands...so deep condition with some type of humectants (some like honey, avocado, aloe)first and try out a light weight oil.

Hey! Question/warning here; youve kina been my loc guru for the past couple years, im a little over 2 years in with my long loc extensions, did instant locs on my natural hair , they were nice and strong , had only a few slip after the 1st couple months. about 8 months ago i decided to bleach them.... nearly half of my about 150 locs fell out and i had to reattach... now everytime i go to wash i lose a good handful and have to reattach because theyre so weak even though i reattach very well with new maconstyle hair. So to anyone reading this.... DO NOT bleach your extensions just buy the blonde from jump OR dont use 40 volume just take it a couple levels at a time. So now my bday is coming up and im ready to dye them again just like you had your beautiful red locs. How did you manage them not slipping so much after bleaching and dying all the times you did?
