  • The historical cup run where the Canaries became the first and only Bristish club to beat Bayern Munich in the Olympic Stadium.
Great started by crushing Vitessa Armen and eventually going out to eventual winners, a Bergkamp inspired Inter Milan.

I remember when we played Inter at the san siro. Why was a uefa fixture played on a weekday at around lunch time? I remember because i was a kid and i had to pretend to my teacher i had a dentist appointment so i could go home and watch it. Bloody marvellous mum for letting me do that. Im a Londoner born and bred but always loved Noriwch. It was a great time to give it to all them Arsenal fans. We were on the clouds then.

Still best Norwich shirt that season.
Selling Sutton and Ekoku and Bryan Guns injury 94/95 (Lars Bohinen scored direct from a corner following a 16 year old Andy Marshall in goal. Post Christmas was awful and I remember listening to us getting relegated playing against Leeds.
Tough years after this cup run.

Yes well done Norwich, your first game in europe in 1993 you beat Vitesse 3-0. My team's first game in europe was in 1962, and we beat Fiorana 10-0. You beat Bayern 2-1 in their olympic stadium, the only English team to do so. Very well done! Great result! Jeremy Goss and Mark Bowen are legends at Carrow road for those goals, along with the other members of the squad that made it such a wonderful occasion. Just a shame you lost to Inter in the next round, but Norwich played brilliantly going out 2-0 on aggregate, but you can hold your heads up high knowing that you did your bit in europe and put Norwich on the map. BTW that trophy you played for my team won, some twelve years before your first foray into european football.

@@norwichcityarchives5038 Actually thats very true, if it wasn't for the scousers Norwich would have qualified (I think) three times, and to be honest that team of 1989 (that I saw quite a few times including the 8-0 demolition of sutton and the 3-2 win at Millwall, long story........) would have upset quite a few people in europe. Link that to the 1993 UEFA Cup run and who knows what might have happened. Be proud of your win in Munich, and how close you came against Inter. Teriffic side to watch.

He’s one of those guys whom gave us hope during some miserable moments cos he could run rings around some of the defences & I’m not sure if even he knew what he was gonna do next 😁

That side down the road won it long long long before the premiership was even formed, and haven’t appeared in it since, did you also know That Preston, Blackburn and Leicester have all won the first division as well 😂, tbh don’t remember the last time Ipswich town were in England’s second division 😂😂

    • @MarlboroughBlenheim1

@@theultimatehorse Not true. Like most Norwich fans you don’t know anything about history. Ipswich came 5th in 2000/01, and qualified for the UEFA. We got to the third round (like Norwich) but In fact we beat Inter Milan 1-0 in the first leg. We then played in the UEFA Cup the next season as well when in the second division.
We are shit at the moment there is no mistake. But when it comes to success, history and tradition we win hands down. Norwich have never won the league, or FA cup, and (as said before) have only played six times in Europe. We’ve played nearly 50 times and have never lost at home (a European record). We have also won it, and the FA cup and league title and given England their two best managers.
