For me firouzja was the champion this time .. he had the most number of wins and against Fabiano and Pragg, he had huge winning advantages but he just missed them at the end .. also in rapid if he had whites as many as Fabiano had , it would have been different...
I'm absolutely stunned that Fabiano managed to stay in the game after moving his knight to F5 instead of H1 (edit: at 7:45). I've seen chess players pull some rabbits out of their hats in my day, but that was a David Blaine-level trick right there (the one where he has someone sign their name on a card, then he throws the deck at a window, and the card is stuck to the other side of the glass; you guys know which one I'm talking about-- the guy's name was Fruit Loops).
I love that the rook exchange sacrifice now gets a "keep the change" 😂 My only request is that it gets a unique voice like your many other catchphrases!
I heard a soul weighs 21 grams. Don't know what that is in Imperial Stones, to be honest, but it's that tiny extra weight only the VAR sees, that you always carry around being Fabiano Caruana. 3 connected prawns plus horse vs 1 rook ..
