This was from a movie go ask alice..from the 70s...great movie a true story about a teenage girl..getting mixed up in LSD..

The 1973 movie was taken from the 1971 book. The name of which was taken from the song (1965) not the other way around. There have been some challenges about whether the book (and similar books by same author) were actually from diaries of troubled kids.
