Love the river!! I really want to do it Garland style...just hoping to make that retirement trip work! Life is about the beauty of this earth and seeing your own land before going off to see elsewhere...I like your giving reviews on these out of the way parks...a little TLC can go a long way on more people coming to these places. Thanks!

Yes.. it was freaking gorgeous and unbelievably huge and overwhelming in the cliff areas and along the river. Hard to describe, but if you can go to Big Bend, I highly recommend it and plan at least 2 days for sure. We haven't stayed in a KOA for a LONG time. Too expensive. Haven't stayed in a Good Sam yet that I know of since we left home. I truly like to give the small RV parks a chance. A bit of touch up at that campground would really boost her occupancy. I'd say they had at least 10 empty spots while we were there. They should have been full. Yeah... Do it Garland Style! LOL Thanks!

GM was wondering what do you tow your camper with.

I have a 2012 Nissan Titan V8 Pro-4X. It has a towing capacity of 9,300 lbs. Easily pulls our camper which is about 5500 lbs total or a little less. :) Michael

How does that big front window on your Rockwood stand up to travel ie rocks, bird , bug strikes etc etc.. Any chips or should it be protected ? appreciate your comments thx

My front window got cracked by a rock our first trip out to Carlsbad Caverns. It was too expensive to replace in my mind. Then cracked again. LOL So I had a tinting company put a protective sheeting over the window to prevent any serious cracking. I've shown that in a video. ruclips.net/video/G-Pqigy87uA/видео.html Love the front window, but if they don't have a cover, they WILL get chipped and cracked. :(
