Stress or not building, custom gunpla gives me zen and satisfaction when I'm finishing the whole project. The effort you put in, the amount of time even in the progress it felt timeless.
Wow! This video is packed with so much interesting information and pointers on how to deal with stress. I can totally relate on how sitting at the bench and do some modeling, even if it’s just a few minutes per day helps me tremendously to clear up my mind, relax and feel better overall. To put into perspective, during the COVID-19 lockdown periods, building model kits/gunpla was a life saver to cope with being forced at home and deal with a persistent stressful situation. Thank you Plamo Therapist for your insights and always peculiar angle you present our hobby!
Building and all the prep work, whilst listening to either synthwave or a good podcast really calms me. It's dramatically healing. However, I get really anxious about starting. I have this daft notion that an unopened model box/book or model paint is a happy box/book or paint. I know it's totally stupid but that's how I think. I do the same with new shoes - they look beautiful perfectly clean and un-worn. I do wear them though lol. Any suggestions re this 'do no disturb' anxiousness?
definitely going to keep my emotional backlog in mind. thanks once again for the useful info!
