im From Gloucester i actually live about 5 minutes away from Stage Fort Park. i just wanted to say thank you for recording this cause im currently serving Active Duty in the Military and i havent been home for 9 Months and watching this made me feel like i was back home.
mike grella same my dude. Been away from glostah for 2 years now. Missing home. Saw your familiar name on this video and about shit myself, khed. 😂 small world
When I volunteered at the Long Beach Veteran's hospital, (lb, in soCal), I met the DAR's western US geneology researcher, who volunteered on behalf of the DAR. She was kind enough to do my genealogy for me and discovered that I have five ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary war. She did her best to get me to join the DAR. I told her that if I ever moved to New England, I would, but it doesn't matter here on the West Coast...lovely autumn colors back east, but I'm a southwest lady...
Your drone footage is really nice man!!!! Also I enjoyed the longer video. It's really nice to get to watch for a longer time. I soak it all up like a sponge
So glad you are ok. Your video still turned out great. Really looking foward to your Salem trip. So much history there. Your so right, when it rains it pours. Doesn't matter what kind of life you live. Things happen.
Gloucester is a lovely place and based on your initial comments I would plan to visit. However, I won't visit any place that is unfriendly to RV'ers. So, Gloucester, you lost my tourist dollars. When I visit the east coast in 2018 in my RV you lose. Good video, by the way, Eric. Thanks. Hope your back gets better.
I love your ability to overcome all circumstances. I wish everyone had this viewpoint. The world would be a better place. You are always cheerful and pleasant. Thanks for all that you do sir.
Your video footage is just SO beautiful. Kudos to you for sharing the fall with us. That's brave, opening yourself up like that. I hope that you're recuperating well and that it's nothing long term. Loved the drone footage. Gloucester looks like a really nice place to visit for a couple of days. Good to know about the no parking overnight laws. Thank you, Eric!
This actually brings up a good topic. How do you prepare for accidents on the road? Medical coverage, etc... I know when I had my travel trailer and motor home both, I carried an accident policy that covered if I got hurt while out away from home. I have had several extended stay patients as well that had wrecks and falls while visiting our area even though they were thousands of miles from home.
TRUCKER PRO TIP!! Since what you do isn't much different than the life of an OTR Driver. Have your family member that holds your Power Of Attorney go to your family doctor and get "ALL OF YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS" along with your Doctor's emergency contact info. Have them save them as a PDF file and get them to you. Keep them on a dedicated flash drive. Any Doctor or ER will be able to read them. Then anything you have done on the road request records on paper at the time of service. If they are unable to provide it at the time request they send both you and your doctor copies. Both your doctor and you update your master file(s) as soon as practical. IF YOU ARE ON MEDS OR HAVE ALLERGIES TO CERTAIN THINGS IT COULD BE A LIFE SAVER FOR YOU!!
I am not surprised the amount of people who love to kick you when you are down. times are changing . THE WORLD WE LIVE IN. Good to see you stay positive.
Your old equipment helped bring you to where you are today so having to use them again isn't a big deal, not to me anyway. Make do with what you have and be glad you had it to fall back on. Speaking of falling, I've taken many falls on my tailbone and broken it several times. I have a lot of nerve damage in my lower back and hips now, BE CAREFUL!!! Use ice on and off for 20 minutes or heating pad...... Take it easy and carefully in your recovery. God Bless you and Jax in your journey.
Eric--I like how you show a cross section of life--successes, failures, joyfulness, sadness, frustration. A lot of people purposely edit their videos to *look* perfect and to give the impression that they're not subject to the human condition. It opens you up to criticism from a bunch of keyboard warriors, but it's definitely more genuine.
I appreciate being able to learn with you. I love learning from your "mistakes." Sharing is a holy, loving gesture...the RV/vandweller/nomad community on RUclips is positive, caring, and inspirational!
Thank you Eric for sharing the bad days with the good... wishing you a speedy recovery... despite all the problems, the drone footage from Gloucester was fantastic!
What a great video! So sorry about your fall. I hope you are ok. That's such a pretty town and park -- right by the sea. And your drone footage is awesome! I can't believe you can't park overnight in their town, and they don't even have any signs stating that. You'd think they'd at least allow you to spend one night, so you don't have to drive when it's dark and you're tired. Many driver's handbooks tell people NOT to drive under those conditions because it can cause accidents. This town is actually setting themselves up for a lawsuit if someone gets in a bad accident because they weren't allowed to stay there at night. Anyway, so glad you are doing better, and I think you have a great attitude!

Read on, the following restriction is there. Language obviously old, who uses the words "trailer coach" or "trailer coach park" anymore lol? Ir's a pretty clear all-RV restriction, at least that's how it's being applied. Sec. 22-149. - Trailer coaches prohibited between 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m.; exception. Great attitude, man. I'd be hurling myself about. Beautiful place so thank for letting me enjoy it through your video. Looking forward to seeing the rest of what you have planned for this trip.
You should look up the saltwater fishing laws, in many states you can fish in the ocean without a license or for a very low fee, looks like Mass is 10 bucks. Mass is a VERY restrictive state. Gloucester law Sec. 22-149. - Trailer coaches prohibited between 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m.; exception. Great work splicing the drone footage with the time lapse and handheld footage, really showed off how nice that place was. Too bad they aren't that RV friendly. Still nice video work!
Oh gracious Eric! Be so careful! Your videos are so good - take care of yourself - I would miss your videos - so glad you are "ok" but oh my goodness - you take care! you are out there alone - that really scared me! Just be careful :)
The water really looks sparkly there. This seems like a good time to visit the tourist-y places and still have decent weather but have them mostly to yourself.
The beginning of this video was very special to me as I am from Dorset (like a miniature state) England and 7 previous generations of my family were fishermen
Glad you're OK after the fall. Sorry about the cops moving you along. I don't think Gloucester will be on my route if/when I make it to the east coast. I'd rather spend my time/money in areas that would welcome me and my RV. Thanks for the heads up!
Ah! This is driving me crazy! I live in Newton, MA (mere minutes outside Boston) and have been too pretty much every location you have been to in your videos. The park you are at in the beginning of this one has always been one of my favorites ever since I was younger. If you ever get the chance again, I recommend you stay at the Good Harbour Inn (which too is in Gloucester), it is my favorite place on the entire Eastern coast. Made a lot of memories there. Anyway, keep it up man. Glad to see some New England exploration here on RUclips finally :D
Really love "traveling" along with you. . .And I have to say, you didn't mention it, but I just LOVE the baseball field right next to the bay. . .What a cool spot to play a game. . .They had a backstop, an outfield fence and two landmarks to try to hit with a long ball, the "Big Rock" in left field and the "Tree" in right field. . .I'd really like to play a game on that diamond! Thanks again for your vids. . .They are always interesting!
Wow, so sorry to see your troubles, but I am sure you have so many who care and are willing to help! I was so happy to see you continue with your video. I love Gloucester, I been Whale Watching there more times than I can count over the years, but always stayed in a hotel. So, this is really good information for me because I was going to take my granddaughter there next August for a Whale Watch in our new RV (because of watching you I was inspired and bought one) but now I may want to rethink staying in Gloucester!!
Ouch!!! Absolutely stunning. My immigrant family member from long, long ago is buried near there I believe. Bucket list to visit the grave sight. Safe walking & travels! ✌
I can relate to the "when it rains it pours" kinda day..., I had one myself a couple of days ago! As far of having to leave in the middle of the night... they don't have any idea how much positive free publicity their little town just lost out on by making you leave in the middle of the night! Lol.there is probably something really cool down the road that you would have missed had you stayed in that town any longer. Better things are waiting for you Eric! As always love following your travels.
Great footage! Beautiful scenery! Sorry about your fall and equipment 😩but you are a resourceful guy! Glad your ok though and make sure you take some over the counter Motrin or Advil for your back. Carry on my friend I so enjoy your videos!!
Signs are ugly. In historic towns they try to eliminate them to keep the quaintness. Touristy historic towns are infamous for eliminating any form of squatting.
I guess you're supposed to look up the antiquated municipal codes of every town and city you visit. I agree Mark, there should definitely be signs. It's been a municipal code in Gloucester since 1970, apparently. No parking for RV's (even if unoccupied) between 12:00am and 6:00am on any street in the city, except in an approved trailer park. In today's world, this sure prevents some tourism dollars coming to your city, Gloucester. Time to change that outdated statute...
Dr. GC Anderson There is a lot more tourism dollars from people that stay in hotels and rv parks as the municipalities collect lodging taxes. Most people who urban boondock don't spend much money if any at all. Someone staying at a hotel is going to dine out and shop at stores. Eric exclusively shops at walmart and will buy the occasional magnet. Not much tourism dollars flowing from that.
pk13910, But not many visitors have the power to bring thousands of eyes to their community. How many of his viewers might have gone there? We'll never know.
pk13910 The money I save not paying for hotels and parks allow me to spend more money exploring tourist towns. Your comment tells me that you think boondockers are a bunch of free loading bums. f * * k you.
Eric, if your going to Philadelphia, you might want to consider parking in NJ Camden county, woodcrest station or westmont station and take the PATCO train over to Philadelphia. The city is really congested and parking for an RV will be very difficult
Hi Eric, her in Holland (europe 😏) we say: "niet bij de pakken neer zitten" that means, bad Luck happens, it sucks, but don,t let your spirit down! I am with you sinds episode one, and still enjoy en look forward to every new episode with you and Jax! I learn a lot About RV living, and the USA in general, for i have never been to the US, but want to! Cheary up (new Engeland) Eric!
great video, beautiful footage! sorry about your fall 🙁 AND about our cops kicking you out! i've seen campers here and there every now and then and never knew it was an issue. anyway, thanks for visiting my town and representing it so nicely. ☺️
What a great video, Eric! Thanks for letting me fly over that beautiful place. Perhaps so pristine because they don't let overnight RVers stay. Sorry you fell - thought that was an exclusive talent of us old folks. Ouch having had many falls I felt sorry for your pain both body and equipment owwies! I found you for the first time today although I've been studying the nomadic life for months now to write up the best plan for my own journey while I'm doing that I want to cut my living expenses by buying a washing machine like the solar washer spin dryer combo you demoed in Florida but the link doesn't work. Could you please link me so I could buy that same brand or are you no longer finding it a good product? Thanks in advance and for your great channel.
Just watched your video. Beautiful scenery. Oh, well Glouster missed out on your promotion of a castle and etc; on the following day. I would not have driven back half an hour. Sorry about your fall. Even the scenery in your fall was exceptional.
Well the fall and damage to you & equipment stinks! sorry hope you feel better. Im sure you'll get the video end worked out, you always do. Glouster is a beautiful place. Too bad they are zoned as a "day park". We're finding too that there are many places in New England in particular and Florida too that are not RV friendly. Thats o.k. we'll just take us, our RV and our money elsewhere. I feel sad about how carefully you choose your words and explain "Im not e begging" because of trolls and haters. It was a normal part of this episode for you to explain the damage to your equipment and your injuries. I feel the hate serves to stifle you somewhat. You don't need to do that for us. There are more faithful supportive viewers who enjoy your content without judging. The others shouldn't be given the energy. We're currently in Massachusetts message us here or on FB if you'd like to connect. Toby says Hi Jax! Happy Trails!
Being a loyal RUclips watcher daily for years, I never notice much when a vlogger switches equipment. Even when I do it's still clear. What I do notice is audio. You having mic clipped to your shirt is perfect. So in other words I don't see anyone caring to what video your using. Just Vlog. JMO
OMG Eric the TROLLS will be having a field day on this one. Buckle down and hold your temper bro. Keep the videos coming. 86,000 + looking forward to them.
Eric, I'm a longtime fan of yours. I have seen all of your videos. I enjoy your travels with your cat. I recently bought a class c motor home and hope to be traveling soon with my cat. No more leaving her alone for extended periods. You have taught me so much by watching your videos. I just watched the video in which you took that nasty fall. My fear about traveling alone is what if I'm out in the middle of no where and something happens and I get hurt? I have never sent a note your way. This is my first.I have wanted to reply to many but never have. I know it will be a matter of time and you'll be making your way down the east coast to Orlando again. I'd like to meet you. This would be a huge honor. I hope something can be arranged. I can only hope. Gary
Someone needs to put together a travel guide for RV'ers that list all cities and towns that dont alllow overnight parking. And if they do maybe list the code and or law for or against it. That way if an overzealous police officer tries to run you off you could always quote them the law for their jurisdiction.
I just discovered your channel. I'm really enjoying your rving journey with the trials and errors that accompany your travels. Thanks for diving into this adventure so we could enjoy it with you.
Eric, Relative newby to your channel. Truly enjoying traveling with you and Jax through New England and want to say how the videos have brought the beauty of the Fall back that we miss so much, being Midwest transplants to the TX Gulf coast. Hey we have the beach, it's a good trade. Keep on keeping on brother, bad days come and go, it's life. Take care of the back -ice, ice baby, as the song goes. May need adjustment too. Take care and ignore the jerk posts. Geez, people sure are bold behind a keyboard. No class. Pets to Jax!
Sorry to hear about the bad day. Hope you feel better soon. The worst thing plaguing your channel are the bored trolls who post ridiculous and annoying comments. It's like they went to the troll school for special people who can't get along. Sorry they're singling you out for their misguided rage.
Erik Blair, Brother, you just PREACHED! AMEN! .....(there is a LOT of misguided rage these Days. Folks accuse you of IMPLYING a particular notion, when in fact, they are INFERRING that you put something out there that you did not!)
Haven't peeped your channel for a while, glad I did. you seem sooo genuinely happy, and light and airy. Glad for you. Congrats on your success, wow 88k, nice!
well I sure hope your OK!....I just wanted to say thank you for your videos..I get a lot out of them...I want to get a class b campervan too...your a very smart guy to have figured out a way to earn money while traveling at the same time!!..keep up the great videos! you rock!!
aw man sorry for your misfortunes Eric ! that looked like it hurt ! but heres a tip for your back find a health food store a get some tumuric root and make a tea that will take care of the inflammation ! on the other hand Monique and i just acquired a 3/4 ton ford van to tug our camper so look out we will be stalking you !!! lol !!! hi Jax
Hey, love watching your vids, do you have a drone for the high coastline shorts? Also I haven't seen the video of when you swapped over to the van from the RV. Yet.
im From Gloucester i actually live about 5 minutes away from Stage Fort Park. i just wanted to say thank you for recording this cause im currently serving Active Duty in the Military and i havent been home for 9 Months and watching this made me feel like i was back home.

@@robsmustang4787 I'm sorry to hear :(
Thank you Mike SO very much for your service!!
Your drone footage is getting really good.
Hope you make it to Navarre, Fl.
Good luck!
Eric, sorry you had such a bad day. I love your positive attitude. The views of Gloucester were beautiful. Thanks again for taking us along.
A "bad" day on the road is still better than most good days stuck at home.
When I volunteered at the Long Beach Veteran's hospital, (lb, in soCal), I met the DAR's western US geneology researcher, who volunteered on behalf of the DAR. Loved the footage of the bay and beach. Thanks for all the effort (plus bumps and bruises) you put into these videos.

Great work splicing the drone footage with the time lapse and handheld footage, really showed off how nice that place was. Too bad they aren't that RV friendly. Still nice video work!
Eric, you have such a positive attitude. Thanks for sharing.
Glad everything is ok love yor videos,
The action and suspense never ends .... hope you recover from that fall quickly .... great footage. Thank you :)
Oh gracious Eric! Be so careful! Your videos are so good - take care of yourself - I would miss your videos - so glad you are "ok" but oh my goodness - you take care! you are out there alone - that really scared me! Just be careful :)
Hello Eric & Jax. Awesome Videos as always. Thank you for Sharing.
Hope you ok as well😬
Gloucester should post it! what a shame, sorry you hurt your self. and your equipment. You have a great attitude.
The drone video was gorgeous! Hope you don’t have any lasting pain from your fall.
Thanks again for your vids. . .They are always interesting!
gorgeous video, photography and music. just starting to watch your work.
That drone really makes the difference in your videos! One day I would love to have one to make these great shots!
Always enjoy your videos, thanks
How is anybody supposed to know?!?!? Hey, city of Gloucester! How about spending a little money on some "No overnight parking" signs! :/
I was watching the video and we kept saying where’s Jax.? Lol. Love your videos
Some amazing photography from Gloucester. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Eric. You have come a long way. Dont ever give up!
Eric, if your going to Philadelphia, you might want to consider parking in NJ Camden county, woodcrest station or westmont station and take the PATCO train over to Philadelphia. The city is really congested and parking for an RV will be very difficult
So sorry you hurt yourself, buddy. Be safe. Kisses to Jax!! I love the way he talks!! Lol
I am not on the road yet... And appreciate in your videos and travels your experiences I live in the Northeast... Keep up the good work
Hi Eric, her in Holland (europe 😏) we say: "niet bij de pakken neer zitten" that means, bad Luck happens, it sucks, but don,t let your spirit down!
Good to see you taking every set back in a positive way.
Great vlog! I love the drone pics over the water! So beautiful and peaceful! :-)
Just Vlog. JMO
The sunset drone footage was amazing!
OMG Eric the TROLLS will be having a field day on this one. Buckle down and hold your temper bro. Keep the videos coming. 86,000 + looking forward to them.
Looks like a beautiful day followed by an unfortunate night. I've been there, buddy. Great way to not let that negative energy continue.
He was playing the Cello.
One must do as one must!
Live life as a cat.
Hay Eric! Thank-you for keeping it raw and real........
Eric,
I'm a longtime fan of yours.
Eric I look forward to all your videos as I travel through your lenses ...thanks and be careful out there u big dummy
That place looked really interesting. Would be cool to be in a place where some of the first European settlers came to America. Thanks for sharing.
I just discovered your channel. I'm really enjoying your rving journey with the trials and errors that accompany your travels.
Thanks for diving into this adventure so we could enjoy it with you.
Hi from Gloucester, mass. Sorry my friend, loved the video .
You are inspirational. Love the videos!
Always enjoy watching your videos :) keep up the good work.
you still make amazing footage even with all of the bad stuff that happened to your cameras. i love to watch your videos!
Hope you got it all figured out Eric..... All my best to you and Jax..
I am from the future, this is getting more common, sadly.
You take me places I'll never be able to see for myself. Well done!
Eric it is the snowball effect you roll downhill it just gets bigger and harder to stop keep posting and stay safe
Haven't peeped your channel for a while, glad I did. you seem sooo genuinely happy, and light and airy. Glad for you. Congrats on your success, wow 88k, nice!
Great video despite all of your problems, Eric. Hang in there.
Sorry to hear about your camera, its equipment and your stay in Gloucester. Love you positive outlook. You got this bro.

Boondocking Mainah's
Hey, love watching your vids, do you have a drone for the high coastline shorts? Also I haven't seen the video of when you swapped over to the van from the RV. Yet.
