Hi Lawrence, I think it would have been more helpful (for new comers to beekeeping) to see *in real time* of how the scorching is done (just 1-2 minutes of it would suffice) It does not require a great skill, but it is almost an art form to do it correctly along with all the safety precautions being taken. Hi Lawrence, so does this mean you will be selling langstroth nucs next year . Yes same way I sterilise all my used equipment with the blow torch that reminds me I’ve still got a load of frames to rewire.

That surface heat treatment will not effect the areas that are deep down in the cracks and joints of the wooden parts .
If the flames can't get to it the bees will struggle to access it as well. That's why we did the frames though

Yes. In the UK I've only ever seen pine frames
