Thanks Kim! It always strikes me as incredible to see these beautiful landscapes hidden within valleys. Amazing that your ancestors worked here in the area many many years ago. I'm sure there's a tale or two to tell there. I thoroughly recommend following the Lost Mines (youtube.com/@LostMines) youtube channel - you may well already be following their channel. Superb content exploring areas around mid Wales/Cambrian areas, including some of this particular working. I must confess that my 'analysis'/description of the working parts of the mine are far from correct. Rather a lack of knowledge on my part back then, I have learnt more since along the way! Take care, GWR
@@AberystwythStation yes it is beautiful landscape and country, Wales is glorious. I always feel sad to think of how hard a life the miners had, a horrible job just to put bread on the table; nowhere near the reward they deserved. Privilege indeed. I hope they’re resting in Peace now. Thanks for the link, I’ll check it out!
Thanks for showing this, some of my ancestors were lead miners in the area, not sure if at this exact mine or nearby, but it was good to see
