The fact that he had undergone his trauma from his father, he has no clue on how to act and react in a healthy manner in this kind of situation, so his mind and emotions are spiraling so much because he's unsure on how to act it's almost like he's mentally and emotionally rejecting himself and is nervous in this kind of situation. If this keeps going on... I'm afraid he might snap one day

I love how they can stick to the characters while changing them correctly. Like how Victoria DOES care about Glam's feelings, but she tends not to notice when something's wrong. When he opens box 37, she goes from fucking with him to genuine concern, but it takes her a while to notice that he's not okay. Clearly Glam is okay with that, or the issue just never came up, which is another thing I love. He never gets frustrated when she doesn't notice someone's feelings when they happen, as he knows it's her weak spot. Or the subtle hints of worry from Glam whenever she hits Dee, but only when he reacts poorly. It's clear he isn't worried she's abusing him or worried that she hurt him, but is more worried that she wouldn't notice fast enough if she did and is also worried she might hurt Dee a bit too hard emotionally, as it's clear he hates physical interaction. Or how his smile was clearly genuine most of the time he looked insane during the old bits (the backstory every other episode), but it was so tensed because he never did. The attention to detail in both the animation and character dynamics is amazing. What I love the most about the family is that for how chaotic it is, they all almost never truly fight. Sure, Dee gets mad at Victoria after she hits him every now and then, and at Heavy for being idiotic, but for the most part, they all get along and do the things they enjoy. For example, I don't think Glam was mad at Dee for not having musical talent or doing it to impress someone, but rather that he was trying to learn something he didn't like. It was something Glam took years to escape, and to see his son do it so willingly must've been hard. That was definitely fueled by the beliefs his dad pushed on to him, but I truly don't think that was the main reason. To add to that, it's pretty clear that he looked up to Chive because he had the freedom to do what he wanted, and did as such. Obviously that spark was lost for a while during Chive's addiction, but he pulled through and helped him. The point stands, it's more important to him that his family has the freedom to do what they love than to have them try and learn things they don't truly like. I still don't understand the pet rule thing though. It's clear it has a deeper meaning, but I haven't seen anything related to pets aside from the lab episode.

I love Glam...he is flawed and how he was raised does show while he attempts to help his son play the guitar and more than likely in other ways...but he is a protective loving father and he shows it perfectly with how he takes the parent teacher meetings and he's a loving husband to Victoria...making a perfect blend of goofy and chaotic with an undertoning threat
